Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

  1. Why does an Officer with a 20% War Disablement Pension get 1458 pounds a year yet Other ranks with the SAME 20% War Disablement Pension only get 1341 pounds.

OK its only 116 pounds but why the difference?

RHIP even when retired and disabled ?

  2. I'm on 20% WD pension as an ex OR and mine is £363.22 every 13 weeks which works out at £1452.88 pa so you'd better check your figures.

    They don't.

20% war pension ORs £27.94 devide by 7, multiply by 365 comes to £1456.88.
    or

£29.94 multiply by 4 multiply by 13 (no of payments in a year) comes to £1452.88.

Looks like the rooperts get an extra 2p a day or £7.12 a year.
