Time is a socialist/fascist* plot against the population.

Its quite simple people rightly criticise Abbott not because she is black or a woman but the fact that she is out of her depth everytime she opens her mouth, she is frankly bloody useless and an embarrassment to the Labour party.

She crys racism to cover up her huge failings and then everyone goes or "poor Diane" well its not poor Diane she is an abject failure and both the party and her constituents would be better of with out her.

That came across in the objection to the show. Part of it read that she was not accorded the dignity and respect due to her position in the shadow cabinet. The thing being that you have to earn respect and, so far, I've seen nothing from her that earns my respect, only the derision she gets. Oh and I'm yet to find any evidence of 'blatant' racism in the show. Or is it now that ANY member of BAME is not allowed to be derided for whatever reason because its inherently racist??

Have to be an extremely thick branch and a very strong rope!

I see Labour have posted a formal complaint and the BBC has rolled over and given in. Must have been taking their lead from PMTM's attitude to the EU.
Yes they rolled over about the fact that Dianne Abbot quoted the correct poll figures and that Bruce and the Jounalist were both stridently wrong

Just keep rolling with your imaginary narrative though:mrgreen:

I am no fan of Abbott but having looked at the debate she certainly was treated unfairly compared to the other panelists. Fairness, no matter how inconvenient, should transend prejudice.

Apart from that I still think she is a knob.

How so?

Home Secretary is a senior Cabinet position - and a very important one. As Shadow and potentially THE Home Secretary, she needs to demonstrate intellectual rigour and a good grasp of both current affairs and her party’s position. She also should show the mental dexterity needed to debate.

Instead, all she does is recite the party line without deviation. Often, the line she parrots bears no relation to the questions posed or the issue at hand. She just goes off on a track. Or, she somehow turns a national issue into another diatribe about her personal struggle in the face of great adversity [sic].

All that happened on QT last week is that she was told to answer the questions being asked. She didn’t like that.

Look, if I were going on national television I’d want to be as well-briefed as I could be. She just rocks up expecting the respect she feels due to her position. As noted above, respect is earned.

DA quoted a poll that showed Labour in a good light, it was pointed out that polls show Labour in less than a good light. Bleat as long as you can this is Abbott being caught out - yet again - on TV and crying about it. Other politicians would have pointed out the difference and moved on, it is minor. Abbott takes every indication of her incompetence as a direct attack on her. She is useless.

Would you want her as Home/Foreign/Trade or any other State Secretary?

Mind you. She would probably be good as NI Secretary!

Maybe if she had something to add to the programme other than bleat she might have been treated with the respect given to intelligent beings.

Well said. Someone should send a copy of this to DA.
