Summer: Home made summer pudding and double cream, served cold in late summer.

Winter: Golden syrup pudding with lashings of hot custard.

Definitely Sauce Anglais, with any of the common accompaniments.

But it has to be thick, just fluid enough to qualify as a liquid.

And yellow.

And, preferably, home made from the basic ingredients.

I thought this was going to be a thread about foodfights in mess halls!

I saw one once at the shithole camp at Fremmington, well I sought of started it really, I can't understand why my mate didnt want mashed potato (wasnt the army version of smash instant mash called Pom or similar?) with his custard and apple pie, it was all going down the same hole. :D
