despite last weekends embarrasing efforts

I had to forgo taking 3 paying French Clients Muntjac Stalking near Aylesbury.
Apart from spending the first day in the dentist and at the MOT garage the second morning I was here;

All the way to sodding crawley for both lads to bomb in the trials.
Then I get a phone call from my oppo who took the frogs for me and his is what he had;

So iget home with my supper to hang and decide to go feed the pheasants.
I took both lads so they could have a zero session with the foxing rig,
lad 1 on the rifle;

His target;

Not bad for a left hander 100 metres prone;

Lad 2 took over and he's not been that interested till this year;

He seemed happy enough;

Its a pity he doesnt work this hard at everything!
Still I've had worse weeks if not as expensive!
Just think how well they could do if they had a better position for shooting off the bipod! :D

Try this:

.223, its a Ruger 77hbvt in a laminate stock with an 8x56 S&B on top.
Its only a 1 in 12 twist so 55 grain bullets are standard fodder but its taken foxes from a high seat at 300 yards.
I picked that spot to shoot from as its the best backstop within a 250 metre firing lane in my wood. I have others but they are best served from the high seats and I want those for baiting foxes on Monday evening.
Your youngest must be a big lad cos he makes the rifle look small :D

Well at least I have enough heads and hides to run a trophy preparation course!
