Deputy PM was in Hospital for XMAS

It was probably a BUPA hospital, his treatment paid for by the tax payer of course.
Oh he missed his family Christmas dinner did he? So did a great many others serving abroad as it happens.

Ginsters have released a statement confirming that Prescott was indeed ill from eating their produce, however defended the quality of their product.

"We can indeed confirm that the primary cause of Lard Arrse MP's illness was due to consumption of our pies. Mr Prescott had been sent a 38tonne truck, for continued loyalty to our brand. However, he took it upon himself to eat all the pies on Christmas Eve. This was not advisable. We hope that we will continue to be Mr Prescott's number 1 choice."

Nah.....
Private ward....
Private Ambulance.....
Private Police detail(armed)....
Armed Response Unit on standby.....
Team of top Doctors
Private Nurses (non imports!).....
Fresh Ginsters pasties....
All paid for by the Taxpayer......

As for the rest of us...
A 12 to 36 hour wait to be seen only to get a script for a jar of Gaviscon & a taxi home!(after a lecture from the Locum or Residency Doctor who's nearing the end of a 48 hr shift for over-doing the mince pies)

Nice one Yamkwak - 'thromby' = Thrombosis - a bloody clot that should be removed as soon as possible!

I'm off to the Bar again - it happens every time I hear this tw@t's (Prescott) name mentioned.

Government announces that NHS treatment may be denied to those who inflict ill health upon themselves - smokers, Pi**heads and fatties

http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/he...icle2103722.ece

Crass hypocrisy finds it easy to condemn that which it likes to freely engage in and then justify itself by creating distinctions without a difference.

Such an idea would have precluded ‘fat boy’ Prescott’s treatment in an NHS hospital over the Christmas period:

Nicholas Soames had better make dammed sure his private health insurance is up to date

Anne Widdecombe had better start following her own judgements of other people on TV Reality shows dealing with weight loss

Charles Kennedy can kiss goodbye to any hope of a NHS Liver transplant

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4582930.stm

While Boris Johnson will have absolutely no chance of treatment as a smoker.

With a Commons subsidised canteen with a ready supply of cheap pies and a House of Commons shop selling cigarettes at 23p for a packet of 20 and £8,00 for a bottle of 10-year old Malt Whiskey I can see lots of cross-party support for this latest stupid idea from New Labour

No policy directly impacts on MP's who, like their Soviet Apparachick equivalents in the 'Zill Lanes' either worked the system or operated outside of it. What the idea actually amounts to is the withdrawal of NHS treatment from the obese, beer-drinking and fag-smoking members of the peasant classes who are taxed to the hilt and who do not have offshore tax-avoiding accounts.

Next step will be government access to your Tesco loyalty card data disclosing your spending habits to allow NHS officials to make judgements over your lifestyle and whether your cheap 'value' high fat, high sugar and salt shopping basket places you in a category of person not worth treating.

Regards and best wishes
Iolis
