Dental treatment on repayment?

  1. Hi

I left the Regs in 2005 and joined the NHS dental waiting list. I am now FTRS(HC) and am not entitled to dental care from the forces.

Just found out that I am 7824th on the NHS list and it will be at least another 3 years before I get seen by an NHS dentist.

I have 'gone private' but suspect that their costs will be unsustainable for long.

Is there any way that forces dentists will do work on repayment?

    Cheers

  2. Errrr, No. I'd love to dress it up a bit but it's a big fat no.

Unlike the US Veterans we don't seem to have any enhanced access to medical or dental care one we slip off the green skin for good. Soz!

  4. On ArmyNet it was confirmed way back in March that DDS was going to make an annoucment after Easter that this type of treatment and family treatment would be addressed

Funny old thing DDS has not made such an annoucment - just goes to show yet again the dental services (senior management team) lead the CoC down a merry path
