Demise of the current helmet cover

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. It appears that the current issued helmet cover no longer fits the bill. Commercial variants, scrim scarf covering and removal of dated elasticated scrim holders suggest that we require something better suited to current Operations.

Is it time that those who trial and develop, look at what's going on in theatre and adjust accordingly?
  2. I call Wah!

As important as the humble helmet covers are I think they may have slightly more pressing issues at the moment :D
  3. Glue and builders sand ? :D
  4. Do you work in a helmet cover factory, touting for business?
  5. i use rubber things to cover my helmet......... oh wait this isnt the naafi, i'll just get my coat :-D

We'll have to keep the helmet cover so all the dinosaurs that are still cutting round in the army can insist that chucking some clumps of grass in your helmet is a worthwhile exersise... :x Rant over !!!!!
  7. simply cut this to the required shape and apply to helmet.

  8. Just what was wrong with humble hessian and woolen net? Afcuks site cheaper than these gucci dpm thingamejiggas
  9. OI leave the mapping intact.
