Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Does anyone know if it's a requirement to be FE to attend the Defence Map Reading Instructor's Course?

I want to attend the course and assuming there are no 20 milers (I'm P3LE for a shoulder injury), I don't think I would have any problems withthe physical part of the course.

Does anyone have any information? The DIN doesn't mention Med Categories and the CoC want me to find out if it's kosher before the course bid goes in.

  2. Isn't that their job?
