The heart of the site is the forum area, including:
Do you do this? I can't remember.....I have a friend that wants to do it.
We dont yet do the Lantra level 1, its an issue of payments to Lantra I suspect but we are about to be licensed for level 2 assesments. We run a course that the old bill accept as to the same standard if not more than level 1. 2 days with 2 live stalks thrown in and a written exam using level 1 papers. If your mate is serious then St Huberts club is to be aspired to. If he wants a quick entry into stalking then I can arrange a level 1 course (with a cert for the police but no level 1 badge). The thing is you need to have the training notes before hand. A few people have taken our course as a warm up to the licensed dsc1.
Cheers buddy. Can you PM me your number? I'll have a chat with him over the weekend, and he can call you if he wants.
As a bit of a nonce when it comes to all things stalking, is it a legal requirement to have these certs? I imagine it helps a lot in the application for an FAC as you are proving that you are actively trying to get into stalking.
Is it something that landowners require you to have? Any tips on places where this is all explained would be appreciated.
You need a certificate to stalk the things?
You learn something new everyday.
No legally enforceable rules about these. The old bill would like everyone to have them (trg certs) as that takes a little onus away from them!
Its a bit of a money spinner and was designed to be an NVQ but NVQ told them to feck off as no one was qualified to review the trg material or conduct the trg at NVQ. It may yet change.
the national orgs like it as iuts a good revenue stream but mobs like the NGO also run 1 day trained hunter courses to meet meat hygiene regs.
There is still nothing to stop anyone picking up a phone and buying escorted stalking by the day/week using estate rifles!
