Dedicated Russian thread

You are incapable of answering yes or no.

What was the point of all that other rubbish.

What you are saying is you don't think that NA was used.

You think that the OPCW are lying.

Now that we have established that there's no point in any further discussion as you are in denial and anything any one points out you will not accept because you think the OPCW lied.
You're wasting your time. You'll never get a straight answer, just a load of waffle. The way he goes on it's as if he thinks he's got a private line into the investigation & a seat on COBRA.
Nor will you get any comment on past Russian lies, evasions & distractions.
He just keeps repeating the same crap all the time, as you may have noticed. He's like a bloody broken record.

He just keeps repeating the same crap all the time, as you may have noticed. He's like a bloody broken record.

He is actually not fussed about the truth of this matter from any perspective. He merely wants an audience and either ignores or more likely does not absorb any information contrary to his irrational uncaring thought processes, or lack thereof.

You know the Ru don't screw around when it comes to whacking ppl.
Because Russia never ever makes mistakes. Especially Vlad.
Malaysia has said the substance used to kill Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korea's leader, was VX, a hugely potent nerve agent which is banned internationally.
And?
Just go where the evidence points..not where you're told to look, bozo
What evidence? Gossip and rumour are not evidence. Any inquiry will present the evidence.
Evidence of where it did actually come from if at all?
Evidence is needed to support that claim and you're all out of evidence.
Makes you wonder why you bother paying taxes, doesn't it?
You have no idea either way. HTH

Moscow authorities allocated Sakharov prospect (traditional place for protest actions) to be used for the meeting organized by mr.Navalny. The prospect is wide and has capacity at least for 80-100 thousands of demonstrators. Maybe even more.

Protest action "For fair elections" on the Sakharov prospect 24 December 2011. The police estimated number of protesters as 30 thousands while organisers as 120 thousands.

Today mr.Navalny was able to gather only 1500 supporters.
Such a modest demonstration on Sakharov prospect would rather show his microscopic support. So he decided to stage the meeting on relatively small Pushkin square. As a result the action was recognised by authorities as unlawful and arrests followed.

The protest movement in Russia is in a deep crisis. There are many causes. Protests against high profile crooks are being organised by low profile crooks. It is one of the causes why ordinary Russians are mainly passive.
That's a decent height, are there any balconies for investigative journalists to fall off?

It was sprayed in his face and into his lungs so ingested almost instantaneously.
If Novichok was 8 x as potent as VX they would both have died, even from a small exposure relatively quickly.
The NA on the door was highly pure and there was lots of it.

They definitely shouldn't have been breathing >4+hrs later.

And now they've recovered and barring a few probs, are right as rain, and are being' serviced' by Int UK?

It's all very hush, hush.

Scaley back would be proud of that subtle distraction effort, I'm sure nobody noticed.

So, back to the mountain of unfortunate facts and non-sensical evidence' ?
Shall we just pretend that none of them exist?

Read the title of the thread, and think about why i might have posted. Should i not post about Russian stuff in a thread called Dedicated Russian Thread?

What are the criteria for registering a demonstration in Russia in terms of when it becomes lawful or not. A weeks notice sounds reasonable. Any idea?
There is a Law passed in 2004 about gatherings, meetings, demonstrations, marches and so on.
Organizers have to notify local authorities within 10-15 days before the planned event and propose the place.
Local authorities have right to propose alternative place. Typical places for protest actions in Moscow are huge Sakharov prospect (close to the center) and big Bolotnaya square (just near to Kremlin).

There is rather more to it than that, though. The fact is that the authorities tend to grant opposition groups permission to meet at locations that afford minimal coverage, such as suburbs and even industrial estates.х.
As you well aware about geography of Moscow then you may confirm that Sakharov prospect is not 'suburbs or industrial estates'. It is in walking distance from the very center of Moscow.
By contrast, the prime city-centre locations are always allocated to pro-Kremlin groups. By some amazing chance, there is always a pro-Kremlin group first in the queue, no matter how far ahead the opposition group makes its application.
Yes, it is a standard method frequently used by the authorities. But big number of protesters would overshadow any Kremlin sponsored gathering. Here is the main problem of mr.Navalny and his supporters
KGB is - unsurprisingly - being extremely disingenuous about his explanation of the two locations.
Really? Previously all more or less numerous protest actions on the Sakharov prospect were covered by main TV channels, had to be covered. And this time relatively modest demonstration organized by mr.Navalny would be shown on TV screens with apparently negative PR outcome for the opposition.
The location in KGB's photo is a city office street (in fact my own former office is in the centre of the photo). Over this May holiday period, its a bit like Canary Wharf on a Bank Holiday weekend - utterly deserted. By contrast, Pushkin Square - conveniently bagged by the pro-Kremlin group - is roughly equivalent to Trafalgar Square: packed with locals and tourists every day of the week, and especially so on holidays. Its also a traditional and highly emotive gathering place.
Absolutely agree. As for Pushkin square then authorities could claim that good half of protesters are really random people, tourists. As for Sakharov prospect then it is impossible for reasons you outlined.
One could hold a natural question. What is the objective? Really massive, hundreds thousands strong protests or just PR?
Navalny's gate-crashing and arrests is really about the only way that his opposition movement will get any media coverage or public exposure.
Couldn't agree more.

Another contradictory interview that didn't make it to broadcast.
I wonder why?

Kay Burley's best scaley back plastic arsch-type moment.

“[The interview] was broadcast live, but Sky’s daytime audience is not all that large,”Said former UK Envoy to Uzbekistan; Craig Murray Murray “A lot of people missed it and wanted to see it on their website but it wasn’t shown there at all, and they said it would be.”
“I think the plan was to try and make me look foolish with the aggressive interviewing, but that didn’t work. I think that’s why they then buried it.”
