Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just wondering if anyone on here can shed any light as to why a Spanish SAR Sea King has been doing circuits over the Pool of London and South Bank? It was up yesterday as well.

Did they start out in the Bay of Biscay searching for a Spanish fisherman who'd fallen overboard and then worked out where the tides might have taken him?
Have the Met contracted out their helicopter support and the Spaniards came in as the lowest bidders?
Is it some strange Iberian retaliation for the Royals making an unscheduled beach landing down by Gib?
Or were Christopher Booker and his ilk right all along and have the Euro Army arrived?

  2. Spanish? It'l be looking for somewhere to land then. Please do not throw bread to it. This attracts others.

  3. It'll be a recce for potential new fishing grounds.

Any Spanish fisherman who fell overboard was most likely well within our 3-mile limit. The Royal Navy should be teaching these dagos a lesson.

Action Lynx! Stand by Sea Dart! Away Boarders! etc.
