Wonder if these will be appearing on eBay with people cashing in. I remember seeing these in Poundland type stores here about 20yrs ago and wondered who would buy this shit here if they couldn't be sold in USA

Something, it seems, not restricted only to British schoolboys.

ALLAN CHARLES WILMOT (1925 – 2021) Allan volunteered first for the Royal Navy in 1941 when there was a call for volunteer servicemen from Jamaica. He saw an advertisement in the Jamaica Gleaner newspaper when he was sixteen and a half years old and the advertisement stated that the British government needed recruits for the Royal Navy. Allan applied, passed the test and was accepted. His service on HMS Hauken, in the Caribbean theatre of war, had its dangers, which came mainly from German submarines in the area. They often sank British and allied tankers as well as cargo boats. For instance, on May 25, 1942, the SS Empire Beatrice, an unescorted and unarmed cargo ship, was sunk by a torpedo fired by a German Uboat (or submarine).

Einar.
Nope, me neither.
Apparently a Swedish rapper.
He had been living under deaths threats for a long time, and had protected identity.
A rapper being shot? Who'd have thunk it...
(@Lardbeast and other saffers will appreciate the irony in his name.)
Had to look him up... kidnapped, and a Rolex worth £25k stolen (fine, so far...), plus two gold chains worth £13k stolen. Some bling. And his name - yep. No longer though.

Lord Frank Field has made public that he has a terminal illness. Frank was one of the best and hardest working MPs of any party. He served for decades as Birkenhead Labour MP until the situation became untenable after Jeremy Corbyn was voted leader. He then went on to serve as an independent and was subsequently elevated to the House of Lords, along with Kate Hoey.

Frank Field Supports Assisted Dying Bill After Revealing Terminal Illness

I cannot find a suitable icon to press for that.
A dignified conviction politician who displayed high levels of integrity throughout his career.
I never thought he looked well, but am saddened by hearing of his illness which it appears he is entering the final stages of.
I haven’t formed an opinion on the bill, I have vacillated between opposing positions on it. Frank Fields words, articulated by Molly Meacher, are a worthy addition to the debate.

Just imagine if we had a parliament full of people with the integrity of Frank Field.

How sad. Like Amess, a good constituency MP and am honourable man.
