GB's candidature must have been originally proposed on April 1st.

It makes even less sense than Caligula making his horse a consul.
  3. Slow news day in the Rodina Sergei?
  4. Cameron may prefer to have V.Cable fill the job!
  5. I welcome the fact that it would appear to signal the end to a form of political noblesse oblige in which they all pat each other's backs when a big gig comes up.
  6. Who does give a stuff what is happening in Russia?

    Let's look at this news

David Cameron blocks Gordon Brown as head of IMF - Telegraph

But no one gives a stuff what Russia thinks.
  7. Gordon Brown as head of IMF.... feckin' hell..... the blind leading the blind.
  8. Gordon Brown in charge of the IMF would turn it into MFI, another bankrupted business

Didn't Brown apologise recently during a speach in the States for the way he handled the financial crisis?
Looks like he fell straight into Camerons hands if he did
Cameron will probably vote for one of those nice Indian, Chinese or Pakistani financial gurus
They seem to turn all that aid we send them for crappy schools into nice space programs and shiney new weapons
  10. While they're at it, how about Abu Hamza for BNP spokesman?
Or Peter Mandelson to coach the British Lions
Or a Danish cartoonist to work for the Arab News
Or Nick Clegg as Deputy Prime Minister ......oh sh**
  11. Which three nuggets are going to admit to thinking Brown was excellent in his handling of the financial crisis?
  12. It'd be like inviting the Gestapo to run Bar Mitzvahs.

    Didn't someone once say:
Asking Gordon Brown to handle the banking crisis was like awarding Bomber Harris the window fitting contract in Dresden

Sure I saw it on here
