Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Anybody know where I can buy one of these? They are used for strenghening tibialis posterior muscle that causes shin splints.

    DARD in Action
  2. if you are still in a crate of beer and a talk with a friendly reme welder and a look for a cheap set of weights and you will be laughing.
  3. Nuts, bolts, steel tubing and a decent drill, if you cant find a welder, cos eez probly out back having a fag :D
  4. :? Strengthening the muscle without addressing the issues causing shin splints will surely just make the problem worse (bigger muscle, more tearing effect)?

Have you been recommended to try this, having had the problem examined by a Physio/Doctor?
