DAPS - Have they ever done anything

Found this on the Official MOD Web Site (http://www.army.mod.uk/servingsoldier/whatsgoingon/daps_we_want_your_suggestions.htm)

Anybody ever bothered to contact Martin King, seems he is better than Arrse?????

Forget ARRSE – if you have any ideas or suggestions on how to improve life for people in the Army then we might just be able to make it happen (within reason of course). We are known as AG’s ‘Brain’ and we want to hear from you.

Who are we? We are the Directorate of Army Personnel Strategy (DAPS), we work for the Adjutant General and we are responsible for formulating the Army’s personnel strategy. We do this by understanding what brings success, researching how things are going to be different in the future, and judging how well we expect the Army to cope – and what needs fixing. Then we initiate projects for future changes in the 'people' realm which turn into the policies that affect every one of you. In order to do our work we need to know what people think and want, so we carry out Continuous Attitude Surveys.

But we don’t lay claim to all the good ideas and we know that there are a lot of you who think carefully about life in the Army and have bright ideas on how to improve it, but perhaps don’t know how to feed their thoughts into the system. We act as a magnet throughout the Army for thought in the 'people' area. So if you have any suggestions then let us know. We can’t guarantee that what you propose will happen but every idea will be examined and if it is appropriate to DAPS we will pass it on to the relevant experts for them to respond.

We want your ideas on:
