Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. A Danish soldier was killed and two others injured when their vehicle was struck by an IED near Al Harta north of Basra. There were two IED against the Danes in June but there were no casualties in that incident. My condolences to our Danish allies.
  2. Rest In Peace.

I hope that the injured get well fully and speedily.
  3. Pretty tough call for the Danes - they've been running a cheeky AO in Iraq for the last 3 years, with loads of heavy tribal fighting. Until about 2 months ago they were getting IED hits almost once a fortnight - and being very lucky. I guess their luck has run out. Until yesterday the only person they had lost in the 3 year period was a single soldier to friendly fire. A great bunch, solid soldiers.

    RIP, you crazy Danes
  4. Rest in peace brother.
  5. Very sad news - RIP
  6. Quite agree. A really good bunch of guys in whom you can have absolute trust.

  7. Yep, bloody good blokes although I wasn't keen on the herring at lunch time...
  8. :(
    Good as our own..
Rest in peace and best wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
