  1. Thread Hijak here.
O.k. today I was told that I had successfully got a job under a 12 month contract for a decent amount of money, well for an 18 year old anyway, my long term ambition is to join the army, but I may be doing this job for one or two years so I'm thinking of the T.A. How long exactley do you have to stay in the T.A. for before you can leave?
After you leave is there a certain amount of time you have to wait before you can reapply for the full time army and could some one tell me about the following:
    Combat (Infantry) (4.4 Miles)
    Y (Rifles) Platoon
D (Rifles) Company 5 Royal Regiment of Fusiliers
    Danum Road
    DN4 5HD
    Tel: 01302 322 776

What are they Rifles or Fusiliers? :?

    Thank you in advance.
  2. I handed in my TA kit a week before starting phase 1 for the regulars.

Please don't hijack threads, just start a new one....

To answer question 1) there is no minimum commitment, you can leave at almost any time. Just be open and honest with the unit to which you are applying, they will be pleased to see you, even if it is for 2 years.

To answer question 2) I believe they are Fusiliers

  4. Ok thank you, sorry about the thread hijak then.
  5. Nope they're Rifles, its a bit of a crazy situation. And it is literally a platoon strength unit, a couple are deploying with 5 Scots on Herrick 8 this year too
