Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just on a small note:

Today, 64 years to the day, the Allies invaded Normandy, in the attack that would mean the beggining of then end for the Axis.

10,000 Allied Forces were casualties. 2500 of them lost their lives.

    German loses are still unknown.

Just take a minute or two to remember those who lost their lives in the attempt to end the Nazi threat.

Suprised that there wasn't anything on this already, but meh.

I'm gonna get some abuse for this aren't i...?
  2. Damn.

I really need to read through these forums more i guess.

However, it seems to be more about the fighter pilots that were involved, but if theres already a thread on it...
  3. I dont see why you would.

I wouldnt call it an attempt, though.
