Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. While eating a bog standard apple pie I started wondering, what the feck has happened to these?

Mr Kipling made them at one point but has stopped.........the kunt. Anyone know what has happened to these or does anyone know a place that sells a variant of this most superior sweet snack?
  2. I don't know anywhere that makes them but make your own? You can buy shortcrust pastry and tinned apple and custard (all not too good) or make your own, and layer the apple on the bottom first, and bake the apple in the pasty once the apple has set layer custard on top and then the pastry top :)! We make these at christmas for an alternative to mincepies.
