Cultural counselling

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Has anyone had any of their soldiers attend this?

    Was there a positive outcome?

I ask as one of mine will be attending soon and I'm hoping it will help him to get a grip of himself. I hadn't heard of it before last week, I hope its going to sort him out because if it doesn't he's on a fast track to discharge.

How much leeway should be provided based on ingrained cultural differences within our soldiers?

    So any thoughts?
  2. None whatsoever. They chose to join the army and accept the generous pay that comes with it; they should therefore (at least attempt to) learn OUR language, accept OUR cultures and practices, and obey (or give) orders in line with the common good.

If they can't comply with these simple guidelines then fuck off back to Scotland. ;)
