As others have said - numerous times - what do you imagine would be the benefit to, incentive for, the French in interrupting this trafficking ?! .

French law enforcement want to stop it because it is ensuring that displaced migrants in Europe are all heading for France, with all the attendant problems that brings. They would like to tear up the Schengen Zone too.

It is suggested that you are more than generous in appropriating a degree of logical thinking to the French, that now - AFTER A NUMBER OF YEARS - they belatedly have been able to deduce the "cause & effect" influence of the supposed benefits of travelling to the UK !!

The same question is repeated . . . once the illegals are in France, WHAT is the incentive to the French, to prohibit, delay, obstruct, the daft buggers “setting-sail” for the UK in their inadequate, unsafe, inflatables ?!

This has been used for a few months flying from Lydd Airport although I haven't noticed it recently. Given BF are able to meet and greet the boats in mid-Channel it's likely this is used to give prior warning of their imminent arrival.

Others will know it's on board tech, but if it has an IR capability it does make you wonder why the French didn't use some of the cash we gave them for a couple of these to continuously search what is a relatively short stretch of coastline.

Behind a paywall for me - but does that calculation include the (legitimate) arrival of Hong Kong nationals with the grandfather rights to GB residency? I think there are about five million of them.

It would appear that the potential, at least, for football hooliganism is alive and well in Rotterdam, and perhaps elsewhere.

The one at the bottom seems to have shed a bit of claret for his (misguided) cause.

Presumably if we could send the Europeans home as mention on the EU thread, the migrants could be housed and cheaper. Besides slight problems for the house builders, bricks take heat to make so ....no new bricks

Not one centime of the millions we have given the French is used as it should be, at a wild guess.

I know. RIBs used for things like rescue often have radar reflectors fitted to increase their radar cross section. However do all the RIBs and other small craft travel all the way from France, or do some of them launch from larger vessels?

Some don't even bother with a RiB, they just get a fFrench Navy ship to get them to the 12 mile point where they transit via gangplank/bosun's chair straight to a Border Farce vessel.
