As I have said before. In 1962 Sudan and South Korea were two of the poorest countries in the world. South Korea with no natural resources is amongst the richest today. South Korea also endured 35 years of harsh Japanese colonisation, not a pink and fluffy British one. What excuse does Sudan have?
At the end of the Korean war, South Korea was rated as the poorest country in the world. Most of the industry was in the communist north.
Now the Republic of Korea is a affluent thriving democracy.
Sudan, on the other hand is a backward waste of space, despite it's natural resources, like most of Africa.
Those parts of Africa that have improved are being undermined by corrupt regimes like the ones in South Africa and Zimbabwe, and the left-wing charidees in the west that are as corrupt as most African governments.
