Critique my training regime.

  1. Hi everyone.

    I've been doing my training plan for 6 weeks come sunday, and wanted to know what you think about it.

    I got the plan from the careers office and then added things to it. I'm using this plan to get fit for selection.

    It gets progressively harder, and this is this weeks training.

    monday:

    30 minute steady run

    4 x 1/2 max press ups

    4 x 14 squats

    4 x 1/2 max sit ups

    4 x 14 dorsal raises

    Tuesday:

    Rest

    Wednesday:

    1 minute sprints(80%) 1 minute walk, continue for 14 minutes

    Thursday:

    Swimming 50 lengths with 2 sprints every 10 lengths.

    Friday:

    Circuit training

    3 x 15 chin ups

    3 x 15 triceps dips

    3 x 15 press ups

    3 x 15 sit ups

    3 x 15 dorsal raises

    3 x 15 squats

    3 x 15 lunges


    Shuttle runs, 30 second sprints, 30 seconds rest, repeat for 5 minutes, record score and better next time.

    saturday:

    Rest

    Sunday:

    3 mile timed run best effort.
