Critically ill man 'former Russian spy'

And yet:

“There is no alternative conclusion other than that the Russian state was culpable for the attempted murder of Sergei Skripal and his daughter - and for threatening the lives of other British citizens.”

That was the conclusion Theresa May.
Why is the UK accusing Russia of a nerve agent attack on a Russian spy, and what is the evidence?

And as for an official story?
If you aren't aware then how can you logically push the company line?

'Briefing the UN Security Council on Wednesday, British ambassador Jonathan Allen said:
“Based on the knowledge that Russia has previously produced this agent and combined with Russia’s record of conducting state sponsored assassinations – including against former intelligence officers whom they regard as legitimate targets – the UK Government concluded that it was highly likely that Russia was responsible for this reckless act.”

That's the official line as to how/why the Russians are getting blamed.

No evidence provided, just speculation.
You call it speculation, others may call it an analyses of the known facts by, funnily enough, intelligence analysts and other agencies to arrive at the best conclusion given the available evidence and context.

Any event such as this becomes known to us initially from news reports given by journalists garnering information from a number of sources, and sometimes being witnesses themselves. This is added to by statements from the police, the ministries and others official sources as facts and evidence is gathered, weighed, analysed,, etc., etc.,

There will inevitably be anomalies and inconsistencies given all the disparate and several sources of information. Blimey, even witnesses to the event can give different versions of what they saw.

Not helped by the likes of Boris Johnson doing his usual buffoonery and overstating what he was told.

But you know all this anyway.

However, CTERs, and you give the impression of being one, seem to live in a world where they think that this is all pre-planned and there are evil agencies at work within the gubmint (how they love that word, (as well as the deep state, the powers that be, and ooer what about the Illuminati (gosh, there I said it and there'll be a knock on my door at dark o clock to drag me away)) or the gubmint themselves planning some false flag or whatever to pin the blame on others or to drive an agenda. And to do this they need an 'official story'.

And that because the intelligence services, police and others aren't opening up their files of an ongoing investigation and showing the evidence to all and sundry this is yet more proof of these evil machinations.

But no, we have the likes of 118 118 and CTERs who can see through all this. They pick apart these inconsistencies from the initial reports and worry little details to death to come to their breath taking ta dah expose of the evil hand of 'the man', TPTB, the gubmint, Bilderberg, Illumaniti, or whatever.

They think they're so superior to us mere mortals who just can't see and aren't enlightened to their ways.

Yeah right.

There is 'no official story' because it hasn't been written.

But you just keep waffling. It's quite amusing

Call me stupid if you like but indeed I strongly suspect that ms.Skripal is in detention incommunicado against her will. My opinion doesn't contradict to known facts. But of course I will change my mind immediately if ms.Skripal would be allowed to make public statement freely and/or consular access to her would be allowed. I strongly suspect that it will not happen anytime soon.
You may believe the official version. It is your right.
Do you know what has happened to Sergei Skripal’s wife and son? As I said in a previous post, it is a strange coincidence that so many of Putin’s enemies- or families thereof- have these untimely deaths. With this in mind It is a far likelier scenario (than kidnap by some shady British agency) that Yulia is choosing to say nothing and do nothing for fear of endangering remaining family members still in Russia.
Effectively the hostages in this incident are Skripal family and friends still in Russia. If Yulia appeared before the TV cameras to point the finger at Putin, I wouldn’t give much for their future happiness.
I believe the official version because it is also the most logical version- there is no precedent for the type of fairy story you propose.

We could make many suppositions, allegations but we don't see anything that backs official version of her refusal to communicate with anybody.
We even don't see her statements in Russian (if she ever made any statements).

Yes, it is namely a supposition that doesn't contradict to known facts.
The more likely hypothesis given the facts as stated and the context is that they were poisoned by Russian agents or their proxies, and given that, their desire not to be seen by the Russian embassy is understandable.

And this is not contradicted by the known facts.

And is a more credible scenario than your supposition of being abducted.

I could make a supposition that what you’re reading and seeing is all implanted in your brain by a powerful computer. In reality, you’re in a pod and the energy from your body is being used to power the large computer. Some kind of Matrix if you will.

It doesn’t contradict known facts and is as believable as the other 30 hypothesis pushed by your ‘crooks and thieves’ govt.

I have a pill for you to swallow. Can you guess the colour?

Oh look another hole in your argument. You may need a bigger bucket.
.
And in other news that you're not being informed of.
Maybe the last few days have been too busy for other stories, what with the Russian threat, another royal leach droppng and Ant McPartlin's hand-grenade of a life?

Malaysian police issue sketches of suspects in hit on Hamas rocket expert
Israel denies Mossad gunned down Palestinian in Kuala Lumpur

You have to wonder 'why' there's been no mass expulsion of IL. diplomats around the world even though nothing's been proved and IL. are denying culpability, exactly the same as the Russians did.

Why the double-standards?
Don't give it 'because NA was used' as there's no evidence of 'who' did what.
Still 100% speculation.

Look very middle eastern, could be Hamas gunman, it is a plausible explanation is it not?
But we did have the bomb outside a polling station and the shooting of palestinians unarmed protesters armed with catapults.
And who the hell is Ant and why did he drop an grenade.

Why the double-standards?

The chap on the right looks a bit like a young Maureen Lipman.
The cases are different, most notably in that one of them is a direct attack on the Uk The other is in Malaysia. Surely, it is up to the authorities there to initiate diplomatic action, not us.
The other thing is that there is evidence in our case. You know what it is. It is just that you don't accept it and keep repeating the same thing again and again. We know the what, the who we deduce.

A good way to get your point across would be to pick a specific like incident( this is not) and place comparisons point by point.

On the plus side, I have not seen you use the word sheeple for a while and you have not explicitly quoted the protocols yet.

I tend to have similar feelings to you about the royals but this is overlaid by my long ago oath to the Queen which supercedes any chippy tendencies. It must be that conditioning you talk about. It is a good job the National Socialists didn't get their hands on me when I were young. ( theoretically speaking. .they were before my time). I may have harboured bad feelings about the Joos.

Assassination done in a foreign country 'potentially' by a foreign agency?
Where are the similarities there?
We must remember that it was potentially IL. and they are the Eric Cartman of the world.

It's bizarre why they didn't just use something to kill the guy that would automatically lead back to the guilty party though.
That silly-billy 'Russian state-sponsored assassination team' must be really kicking itself up the jacksie for not just car-crashing or hit and running the target.

but this is overlaid by my long ago oath to the Queen which supercedes any chippy tendencies
The oath of allegiance is just posh bog roll. Mine hangs on the wall in my downstairs bog as a plan B..
,Allegiances and oaths are just 'convenient anachronisms' when all is said and done.

Now we have only allegations. But previously
Assassination of Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh - Wikipedia
According to initial reports, Al-Mabhouh was drugged,[9] then electrocuted and suffocated.[5] Lt. Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim of the Dubai Police Force said the suspects tracked Al-Mabhouh to Dubai from Damascus, Syria. They arrived from different European destinations and stayed at different hotels, presumably to avoid being detected
In March 2010, the British foreign secretary, David Miliband, expelled an Israeli diplomat after the UK's Serious Organised Crime Agency discovered that Israel had forged copies of British passports.[21] On 24 May, the Australian government expelled an Israeli diplomat after concluding that there was "no doubt Israel was behind the forgery of four Australian passports" related to the assassination.[22] Similar action was taken by Ireland.[23] Israel has refused to comment on the accusations that its security forces were behind the assassination.
Compare, that time forgery of British, Irish, Australian passports was established, proven. And only then the diplomats were expelled. By contrast in the Skripals case nothing has been proved or established.
Double standards? Yes. Though nothing new.
Israel occupied and annexed the Golan Heights without any referendum and there are no any sanctions.
Russian incorporated Crimea where 2/3 were Russians after referendum and the sanctions still are and will be in force.
So why attitude to Russia and to Israel is different?
Has anyone any idea?

This scenario looks like the first wedding night without a bride.

More whataboutery from Putin's little poodle.

Same as my supposition then, except mine also has the advantage of being based on precedence. Can you tell me of a previous occasion the British state has imprisoned a visiting foreign national without charge, trial or explanation?
Yes, it is a strong point. I'm unable to recall similar case.
However, there is a strong counter point. It is hard to explain why ms.Skripal doesn't wish to communicate with her Grandmother. And mr.Skripal didn't make just a telephone call to his Mother, to calm her.
Absence of logical explanation is very suspicious.

This whole thing has been absence of the normal, presence of the abnormal right from the day1.

Lucky that most arrseholes have been conditioned to accept that Ru did it with no evidence.
Along with everything else Ru have pulled- also with no evidence.

Stroke of genius really.

Up to the Malaysian authorities to initiate action though. They could take it up at the UN if they wanted. There is a difference in that a CW was not used here. The crux of the matter is that one instance of nastiness with no apparent action does not make all attempts to initiate action invalid.

That's why policemen used to hang about and prosecute one or two speeders. It did not mean that others hadn't committed the offence, just that EXAMPLES WERE BEING HIGHLIGHTED to spread the news that such conduct is considered wrong.

Maybe they are. Another point of view would be they are what melds a society together. A point of disagreement based on differing opinions which I accept. Lack of logic in other comparisons I would argue about though.

How do we know the Skripal’s have not been in touch with their loved ones? It would be a private matter surely? Maybe the family will visit them here or in the US.

A more relevant argument would be the drone strikes by the US on enemy leaders. But that does not fit the news feed of him/she/it. They are unable to distinguish the difference between CW and a bullet.

Most likely reason for the death would be conflicts within Hamas but that would be too simple and not fit his news feed which is very limited.
