Critically ill man 'former Russian spy'

Proper trolls, you do not spot. If Russia has proper trolls here on ARRSE, they will have been here for years. Blending in. Getting 'Likes' and behaving like they belong.
I don’t think they’d be any use here tbh- even the most subtle of hints aimed at gentle “direction” of opinion would be picked up by someone. That same someone might also look at the sus poster’s history to see if there was a pattern, meaning that the little titbits of propaganda would have to be buried in a normal spread of posting history. You’d end up with a troll spending ages building up a realistic persona, and then having their shit-nuggets of mischief pooh-poohed anyway.
On a site like this it is probably more realistic to be blatant and just argue their corner using the “avalanche of shit” technique for disseminating misinformation.

In fairness, RT has sensibly reported today that "Samples of the BZ nerve agent were tested at the OPCW-accredited Swiss lab in the Skripal poisoning case, but only as part of control procedures, the chemical watchdog said, adding they otherwise had “nothing to do” with the case..." But I don't expect the explanation ever to be cascaded anything like as widely as the original allegation. We had the correct explanation here on this thread on Sunday.

I think only one of our Sergeis knows what a control is. Yar S would try to kill it and 118118 probably thinks it is something to do with the jews.

Apologies mod(s). Please feel free to award points etc. Am getting rather tired of reading lies.
So now let's wait when 250 'Lestrades' will complete their investigation, when they will elaborate more or less plausible version of poisoning. I suspect that it requires months if not years.
As for ms.Skripal then 'highly unlikely' she will be able to give an interview, to use telephone or internet anytime soon.

To be fair, the Russian authorities would only try to kill her again if she raised her schwad above the parapet.

Not an uncommon belief among Russians but fairly rare within the UK populace.

Do you really think this way?
But why? What is the reason?

Are British authorities able to detain ms.Skripal against her will and to keep her in detention? Is it possible for any reasons?

The reason for thinking that the Russians will finish the job is the belief they did it in the first place
Taking the Russians out of the equation - someone already tried it once and it is pretty fair to say she can be in fear of her life

Yes the British authorities can keep her detained against her will for ‘a reason’, that would be imprisonment if she’s found guilty of a crime or detained under arrest.
She could also be held against her will for her protection if she was sectioned
But none of these apply to Miss Skripal - she is a victim, in danger and in fear who has also stated she does not want to be seen, to have the media see her etc

Are you entirely sane?

Are you entirely sane?
In short - yes.
However, insane people also regard themselves as same (in many cases).
So your question is a bit pointless.

Much like most of yours on 'Lastrades' and Ms Skripal wanting nothing to do with the country that tried to kill her.

What was the initial reason to kill ms.Skripal then?
Taking the Russians out of the equation - someone already tried it once and it is pretty fair to say she can be in fear of her life
But if this mysterious 'someone' would attempt, only attempt to to kill ms.Skripal then it would unmask the 'someone', would it?

However, in this case Russian consular officer would have a right to visit the detained person.
...that would be imprisonment if she’s found guilty of a crime or detained under arrest.
In this case she has right for a lawyer, has she?
She could also be held against her will for her protection if she was sectioned
On what legal ground?
But none of these apply to Miss Skripal - she is a victim, in danger and in fear who has also stated she does not want to be seen, to have the media see her etc
So she does not want to be seen by anybody, including her 90yo Grandmother? She does not want just to make a telephone call to her? Sorry but it contradicts to the common sense.
British authorities could invite the Grandmother, her cousin to the embassy in Moscow to give the relatives an ability to contact with ms.Skripal via Skype. Why not? It would remove all doubts.
But now it is unclear is ms.Skripal a free person, can she move freely, can she use internet. She doesn't visit her pages in social networks. But why? It is not typical for young modern woman. It is highly suspicious.
