Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Do the army do a credit check on you? When? as mate said if your out goings are more than £290 a month they wont let you in god average rent £250.

got a kid so cant give up my house plus dont want to move my son from school to school want him to stay settled.

    any advice.
  2. From what i gathered from a recruiting Sgt. its based on an individual basis. He asked me how much mine were and they are over £250, but i told him that i easily cope now and put alot of money into savings each month so that when i do take a pay cut, ill have plenty of cash aside to pay for them and he said that'd be fine.
  3. from what i have read before they only credit check people going in to the intel corps, not the infantry.
  4. i think its credit repayments of over £250, not rent or food etc.

so if for example you have like 30,000 grand debt and the repayment agreement with the debt recovery company are 300 a month.
