Covid averse, Covid neutral.

OK, I returned to the workplace some weeks ago, to find people acting as if they'd been tasered when I walked past. Others were ambivalent, and folk like me dilligaf. This caused conflict in the workplace. I recommend simple wristbands, red for the covid anxious, Amber for those who will follow whatever rules get imposed, and green for people like me, who will die of something, someday. People are allowed to leave the company of some one two colours away., because they're scared. Community views, please?

If you are already wearing a mask, you've already identified as scared and/or compliant, if you are not you have already identified as an individual capable of independent thought / anti-social tendencies. Why the **** would you need an armband? To prove the individualists are just a wee bit compliant? Thin end of the wedge that is...

I had thought of coloured wristbands, but allocated differently. Red for vulnerable (keep away from them), green for those who have tested positive (greens have no need to distance themselves from other greens).

I’d like two of each please. Labelling up....

I have a lady at work, ultra vulnerable due to health issues. She works with a very fit, healthy, strong young man but who is covid averse and reacts badly. What do I do with them?

Send Felicia home to work, and fire Richard.

Sounds like you’re a bit of a twit.

That's probably the meekest rebuke ever received on aarse, thank you. The thread is kosher though, your views if you will?

It’s the serious bit. Feel free to change a vowel if it makes you more comfortable.

How about you simply keep an appropriate distance from everyone?

As of 24th July EVERYBODY has to wear a mask if out and about shopping.
I've already got mine sorted.

Or if there's a BLM riot protest going on then I'll wear this.

Does anyone know where I can get some brown latex gloves?

Perhaps a numbering system of arm tattoos, combined with coloured triangles?

Wristbands are soooo passe.

Some facts your cowering mask-wearing colleagues might find useful or terrifying depending on their inclinations. It is a fact that simple fabric masks allow air in around the sides, and lack non-woven, moisture-repelling layers to keep out droplets the size of Covid. They impede about 2% of airflow, making them 98% ineffective.

Ordinary people do not, overall, have any access to properly made masks (the so-called N95) as used by frontline hospital doctors. Nor in fact do many (most?) GPs.

As one online wag of a GP confided in me last week, "I don't wear one, they're pointless. It's like using a goal net to catch an anchovy".

According to people in the cloth trade, who know summat about fabric weft and weave, the masks on general sale are at level 21/13, with only two layers. An airborne virus would sail through it.

N95 is still a cop out. that 5% is lot of viruses.

this is a virus - a mask will not stop it and everyone will get it at least twice in the next 18 months with everyone on the planet infected within three years.

the only way to deal with this is herd immunity which means everyone needs to get it.

it is still not a real thing no matter how hysterical they try to get with it. its a shame they can;t publish the 2014 daily flu figures as that killed the same number in a much shorter period.

I think everyone flapping about it should wear an orange B&Q bucket or a traffic cone on their heads so we know to avoid them.

those of us who had it months ago are getting very fed up over this whole thing.

Don’t let the actual intended purpose get in the way of your feelings of superiority.

the whole thing is to get us obeying instructions.

Hancock has already been suggesting the under tested vaccine will be compulsory, I notice they have moved the testing to Brazil so they can hide the deaths from it.

I'm thinking of having some custom wristbands made

nothing to do with Covid 19, I just don't like some of the people in the office

It's then a short distance to coloured hankies in your back pocket...

Autism conferences have been using these for years, though usually on a lanyard as far more visible.

"Social Interaction

A lot of people are, understandably, quite concerned about the heavy social demands of being in a large group for several days. There is no requirement to socialise at all, and there will be no implicit or explicit disapproval of those who choose not to interact with others. There is coloured badge system for indicating whether you would like to socialise or not.

No initiation Red Please do not initiate any interaction with me.

Prior Permission Yellow Please do not initiate unless I have already given you permission to approach me on a yellow badge.

Please initiate Green I would like to socialise, but I have difficulty initiating.

Please initiate with me. Neutral White (or no badge)I am able to regulate my own interaction.
