COVID-19 Is Racist

I used to live in the lake district national park and was up the hills 2 or 3 times a week , probably did every single mapped foot path in the whole park and off grid routes as well, I never saw one dusky ethnic minority out enjoying nature, the Japs will go to Ambleside and Keswick to buy fudge and but they don't go beyond 100 m of any car park. POC are not interested in anything rural , farming, rambling ,walking or the outdoors in general and prefer urban living.

Ever see any black or brown farmers in the UK, Islamic dairies or Pakistani farm shops ?

My bold apparently at least 2 of the black variety as praised by the Guardian
snip "When David Cameron announced his 'A-list' of Tory candidates, it supposedly included the country's only black farmer. But there is at least one more. On the outskirts of London, Zimbabwean-born David Mwanaka is raising a fine crop of maize. He talks to Laura Smith "

Damn Zulus. Not only are they taking land off Whitey in Africa, but they are coming over here to do it too.

What they really want to say is that there is no way that people could really like a nasty Tory - they must be wacists.

The Independent really is beneath contempt.
The theory must be that by promoting racial division, we will achieve racial harmony.

It's just pure logic.

Gruniad article in the bing news feed:

Sexist and racist though the sexist bit is men so can be ignored and Lindy how very dare you dragging other factors into the mix to explain things sensibly.

What next the number of Chinese tourists in the Lakes over the Xmas period resulting in the disproportionate number of cases in a very sparsely populated area.
As I posted on the BBC thread, BAME individuals can be more susceptible to breathing difficulties when being restrained due to a higher incidence of sickle cell anemia. A point that is emphasized during HMPPS Control & Restraint training.
I wonder if the higher incidence of sickle cell is, at least, part of the problem?

Elderly suffer Covid fatalities more. Males suffer more fatalities...no outcry.

BBC news this morning. BAM/BLM racism accusations.

Proof that nothing, including the Covid 19 worldwide pandemic, is safe from being used by the ultimate card that many persons rich in melanin don’t leave home without.

Watched that, had the wife screaming blue murder.

Well the SA govt response is certainly racist. This from a mail sent by the DA who are the official opposition. Seems govt want to give aid to small businesses along racial lines.

...My team is also seeking legal advice on the racialisation of small business support, following the announcement that government departments will follow B-BBEE codes in allocating emergency relief for businesses affected by the coronavirus.

The reality is that the skin colour of an employer does not determine the true victims of this crisis. In fact, most of the businesses and farms which will be excluded from government assistance on the basis of race, employ an overwhelming majority of black employees...

Impressed with the work that Mr Mwanka has put into his dream and getting his business off the ground.

The Surgeon General, Jerome Adams, was on the telly here last night talking about the problems black people face with the virus and the underlying health issues they as a race have. The man is a Dr. himself and he freely admitted he suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure and a couple of other things which all in all have seen him hospitalised in the past.

An interview with Jerome Adams: ===>

Thought you were talking about Rhyl for a moment
I hear it's all kicking off in Rhyl, now they are putting up 3G masts...

Errrm, careful there, you are not allowed to use the word "Golly" in any sentence that even obliquely refers to non-honky peoples.

Do a google of "Robertsons Golly" then look at the images and you will see why. Robertsons is a jam and marmalade maker who used the Golly as their logo until it became inappropriate not to any more. There used to be a Golly logo on the label of the preserves jar, if you collected a certain number you could send them in and receive an enamel Golly badge in exchange.

Note: The term "Golly" was also used by military personnel in parts of the middle east in the late 50's and through the 60's when referring to the local indigenous population.
I thought that was the W_G word that begins in Calais?

Combined with golly at the front, then its the same as 'Thrill seekers' from 'Kentucky Fried Movie'.
Golly on its own and the dolls themselves are a grey area where the 'special folk' can get upset about and spout off on Gurney Vine/Gruniad etc, even though the GW was the hero in the Upton books and Blyton had them good and bad.

I spoke with one of me neighbours last night - from a distance of course. He works at a large West London hospital and he said that the Asian community was being hit quite hard by corona. Perhaps it is just because of the catchment area.
In many parts of London the Asian community do form the majority. Harrow, Wembley, Ealing, Southall, especially Southall, Hayes, West Drayton, Hounslow, Feltham, and many other suburbs besides.

Mentioned on another thread: The analytics team at their place is Choggie and a couple of them were back in China in November. In early December to mid-January a fair proportion of the employees were hit with a very severe flu like illness. The lady in question transmitted whatever it was to her kids and she herself had what the Doc’s here call walking pneaumonia.

I say flu like because the daughter of the head of operations was supposed to be working there during her holiday from uni. She contracted it and was bedridden poorly, most pissed at not earning her pocket money for uni. The girl was bad enough to be taken in to the Docs a few times where she was tested for flu and other common seasonal ailments and allergies. All her tests came back negative, they had no clue as to,what she had.

My Mrs was also out of it over xmas. Popular concensus at work is that they have had it and it was directly imported by their Choggie colleagues. If we get the antibody test we will know.
We had that in the second week of December where I was working at the time. I was instructed not to go to work for a few days. It took a good while to totally shake it off. My flatmate got it-he was just short of his 78th birthday, and it put him in hospital for about 7 weeks. They couldn't work out what he had.

Others at work were also affected to varying degrees.

I read somewhere about this breaking out in the States at the same timeframe.

Something not unrelated to people from somewhere just this side of the Far East?.
