  1. 67 Years ago tonight, November 14th.1940 a new word entered the English language, 'COVENTRATED'.
I watched the sky alight, saw the flashes and heard the noise, from eleven miles away as 500 bombers of the Luftwaffe Blitzed Coventry, my Dad was there with the village 'Auxiliary Fire Service with their two 'Coventry Climax' pumps and my wifes father was there with the St.Johns ambulance.
Two new words really, Coventrated and Blitzkrieg.
But, as a German friend said to me many years later after Dresden, " The Blitz Chickens came Home to Roost".

  2. I dont recognise the tower, Barce. Any clues as to where that is in Cov?

I think this is the same tower but from a different angle.
About half way down the page
Seems its the Market Tower. I reckon that photo puts it just about where the escalators for West Orchard are now?
