Council tax appeal

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I have a hearing for a council tax appeal on the grounds that i am paying too much( house in wrong band). Is there anyone out there that has gone through the process?

  2. No but I did look into it as nearly all the other flats in my close are band A and I'm band B when I enquired I was told it could be a double edged sword as a re-valuation might put it up into a higher bracket and best the devil you know

  3. Have a look at Moneysaving expert.com A site by Martin Lewis. I followed his info and got £600 back for being in too high a band. The value of the property is what it was in 1991 (I think) not what it is now. Very straightforward advice.
