Coronavirus , How Concerned Are You ?

  • I`m genuinely concerned and have started to make plans.

  • Nothing to worry about , carry on as normal .

  • I`ll be staying out of circulation until it dies down.

  • I`ve cancelled all travel plans.

  • Panic Panic Panic , we are all going to die .

  • Time to stock pile food and water .

  • I trust the British government to take care of everything.

Re these self testing kits. I thought the CMO came on after Boris and said they wouldn't be available yet as the technology is not quite there?
He seemed to be suggesting they may, if at all, be available in weeks rather than days but I could have got that mixed up with the earlier statement that the number of tests carried out daily will be ramped up in a couple of weeks.

Nice if they do get rolled out but it would depend on the cost I expect.

They were saying last week it was a game changer and was going at a great pace..... fast forward a week later.... "it's a game changer, but it has to be correct, it is going at a great pace".......... Next week... "it's a game changer and will be rolled out next week".... Week after... and so on.

ISTR reading that tests are being conducted in Oxford to see if they are effective. They get the answers in a few days and once they’re given the green light it’s a quick turnaround.

move yet to figure out where we’re getting all of these kits/masks etc in such large quantities when every other fuc*er is after them at the same time in huge numbers?

me senses that a lot of out of work cargo pilots and Brize Norton will be rather busy soon

Infected people have to pee, etc. too; meanwhile the Dutch found the coronavirus in sewage.
(The workers involved with sewage are now wearing special clothing!)
Positive: by checking sewage, the specialists have an indication of the spreading of the virus.
Negative: getting infected trough drinking-water would be a worst-case scenario though!

If this virus ends up in soil it is with us a long time. Cannot fathom out any truth other than needing to fight indifference

It would be odds on whether Extinction Rebellion, Greta or ISIS tried to release it into the water supply first

Off licences classed as essential retailers, the govt seriously are taking the mickey now.

Mum and Dad stuck at home due to coronavirius restrictions at their works, kids off school and cant go out, possible financial concerns re jobs, increasing levels of heightened negative emotion as result of all in lockdown, add in a ready availability of alcohol to continue courtesy of the govt policy, and it is light blue touch paper and retire to a safe distance.

Give the police something to investigate rather than stopping the yoofs congregating in groups.
But off-licences sell alcohol in half and quarter size bottles that the piss heads afford. They can't afford a full size/litre bottle at the supermarket

My sister reminded me tonight, if the current situation is not upsetting your usual routine, you are not doing enough to try and help to fight Covid 19.
No I already maintained social distancing and avoiding crowds - and obviously as a heterosexual male I already spend the least possible time shopping I can

the swedish decision not to isolate and carry on as normal is going to be extremely useful for all western govts if the piers 'the ******' morgan shouty panicky types are correct then the swedes are all doomed with a still working economy but if the people who are saying that it is being blown out of all proportion are correct then we might be able to halt and reverse the economic calamaty we're marching rapidly towards at the behest of the media and twitter - one to keep our eyes on Sweden Coronavirus: 2,526 Cases and 62 Deaths - Worldometer

Unlikely to get it through drinking water unless you’re drinking untreated water.

Infact, they used to say and still do say that people who insist on drinking bottled water have yet to realise that water that comes out of the Tap is far safer to drink than bottled spring water.

Sweden is less densely populated than the U.K.

I know this is controversial in some places, but I *like* that some people are not behaving like the Big Man says. Particularly young people; they're pretty much safe, just make sure they don't contact vulnerable people (or vectors to them) while they're getting more than usually snotty. One they've got the antibodies they'll be fine reducers of r0 when we emerge from our holes.

Yet another young person who didnt get your memo on being safe.

Five finger discounts made easier with pocket sized bottles. "Every little (bottle) helps" you know
