Given the source, this seems the best out of our many Wuhan-Variant Coronavirus threads to stick this one into, but if it's true, expect a lot more Alan's Snackbar moments throughout the Middle East as those fraternal Islamic brethren blow the shit out of each other on a slightly bigger scale than usual:

"An Iranian airline fuelled the Middle East's coronavirus crisis by flying infected passengers into Lebanon and Iraq and continuing flights to China, an investigation has found.

Mahan Air, a private company linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), is accused of lying about these passenger flights after Tehran barred all flights to China on January 31. "

They give credit to the BBC for the story, but guess what language the story is shown in on the Beeb's own website?

Yeah, that's right. Persian.

Nice of them.

Back to the World Military Games, where China has postulated that US competitors were responsible for COVID-19.

'France fears the killer coronavirus may have hit Europe from October as several athletes recall becoming “very sick” while competing in Wuhan back then.

'It's now thought that the bug was unleashed in Europe months before the Chinese city in Hubei Province became infamous as the world's original COVID-19 epicentre, according to The Sun. International athletes who gathered at the World Military Games in Wuhan last October may have brought the killer bug back home with them, French media say. Le Parisian writes that several athletes complained of symptoms upon their return, and that in hindsight, "they may have contracted COVID-19".

BBC news reporting that a number of Chelsea pensioners at the RH have died of Covid 19 with a large number also being ill but recovered.

Just watching the news from outside St Tommy's and the traffic seems to be very heavy considering we are meant to be in lockdown!
I was obliged to deliver a machine to Oldham today. From Preston south there was no discernible evidence of any kind of lockdown The industrial estate I went to was very much business as usual.

The M61 and M60 were chocca with traffic. No question, the economy may be on slow ahead both but it is very much in play.

One of the lads I work with has just come in via Bethnal Green and Whitechapel, stating that some of the pubs have opened up, benches across the door and taking orders for beer to drink out on the pavement, Bank Holiday madness has started.

Given the rising numbers of Americans infected, that will cut the recruiting base, at a time when more will be looking for jobs. Of course, it could be a cunning plot to stop people getting tested in the first place ...

'Getting coronavirus will stop you from enlisting in America’s military forces regardless of whether you recover from the infection, according to reports.

'A memo circulating on Twitter, which has been confirmed as authentic by a Pentagon spokeswoman, says a positive COVID-19 diagnosis is considered “permanently disqualifying”, the Military Times reports.
“During the medical history interview or examination, a history of COVID-19, confirmed by either a laboratory test or a clinician diagnosis, is permanently disqualifying …” the memo from the United States Military Entrance Processing Command states.'
