Corbyn the communist spy!

That is my reckoning too. I believe that this leaking of Comrade Cob's file is nothing more than a false flag op by momentum.
That doesn't make sense, unless it was a false, false flag op. They pretend that their enemies fabricated the weak evidence of accusations but that they, in their turn were actually unfounded. However, whose flag is on it anyway?

Well in John Le Carrè. Except that's an asset you're describing. You know, the very thing the archivist said he wasn't. For the avoidance of doubt, why not watch the interview?
I thought I'd be Bugsy for a day and not let any facts get in the way.

Enjoy capitalism. :)

I'd put a bit more faith in this chap's analysis.

All is well and the balance has been restored in The Force - Jeremy says that these spurious claims are 'nonsense':

Jeremy Corbyn dismisses spy claim as 'nonsense'

Jeremy Corbyn has dismissed claims he was paid to spy on Britain during the Cold War as "nonsense".

Mr Corbyn directly addressed the claims for the first time as he answered questions from journalists after making the keynote speech at the EEF manufacturers' conference in London.

"I am sorry the Daily Mail has reduced itself to reproducing some nonsense that was written in The Sun," he said.

When asked directly by BBC Breakfast presenter Steph McGovern, who was acting as compere for the event, if he was a "Czech spy", Mr Corbyn replied: "No."

I once memorably sat in a cab having arrived in Brussels for work, and noticed the Arabic driver was listening to al-Manar radio. Belgium's only radio station serving the Maghrebi population*, I played very dumb in both Arabic and French, as it sounded to me like Hassan Nasrullah in full flight.

Genuinely, would it help if I set a sub-thread with useful resources and maintain with the odd post now and again (including the odd flash of humour?) I am surely there are ARRSE members who are better cunning linguists than me (well, in Arabic anyway), but if it helps I am more than willing to assist with backward written squiggles.

*This was well before the attacks, and the realisation that Molenbeek was the Luton of the continent.
If he shouts something about Alan's snack bar in a high pitched tone you may want to exit the cab

For those who have gone through the security vetting process (and broadly aware of how it works), especially DV and eDV, there is one question I would ask you to consider:

Knowing what you know of the DV process, especially about concerns of associations with Hostile Intelligence Services operatives, 'diplomats' from countries (known at the time to be hostile to the UK and HMG), and with representatives of proscribed criminal & terrorist organisations, would you realistically regard Jeremy Corbyn et al as suitable candidates for exposure to TS/STRAP/TK/COSMIC material on a regular and unsupervised basis?
Without question...............................

Keep pushing that line ' It's all John Le Carre fiction'

You do know that the background David Cornwell is drawing on is his career in both MI5 and the Secret Intelligence Service don't you?

I know which of the two I would believe - and it isn't the lying upper middle class champagne Socialist parlour pink passed-over Trot from Islington.

The intriguing thing is that Corbyn has not been at all subtle about his friends and actions, so never mind the foreign intellegence agencies, our lot must have a comprehensive file on him, hell even the tufty club probably have dirt on him.

Things are on the move to support this theory, the Old Trot is now on the offensive to the extent 'we must control the press' so was this the plot? A number of ploys are now underway, 'Hacked Off' ,attacks on DM adverts. Control of media an important step towards a one party state. PS. I do not read the DM.

Corbyn attacks press over spy 'smears'

I suppose that there is another possibility. The Czech Int Officer, who were not exactly rolling in money, fabricated the development of a contact and simply trousered the moolah and said he had given it to a well placed informer, high within the British establishment. It must have happened more than once.

I see it all now, the scales have dropped from mine eyes! The Cz Spook had gone to the House of Commons for a cup of fair trade organic tea to see JC and learn how to fiddle his expenses, no better place to learn than the HoC?

I imagine there is a FOI request right now in the former Soviet State.

The waiting game begins and Corbyn has not yet addressed Broadcast Media with a clear yes or no answer as to his alleged meetings prior to him holding leadership opposition of HMG. He did, however, take the opportunity to address his followers in a controlled video and spent more time attacking the nasty bankers and media than answering to the claims, James Bond....what a joke.

Alternatively a StB talent scout spotted Corbyn and/or Abbott during their DDR motorcycling days and signed one or both up as a long-shot, never expecting them to get anywhere or be taken seriously - but hey - speculate to accumulate. Many years later against all the odds it paid off! The StB had hit the jackpot, JC and DA both manged to back-stab and climb over the mound of corpses that traditionally leads to the top of 'Old Labour'- only it was too late, the Cold War was over, the StB was just part of the historical nightmare that was the WarPac world and time is running out for the old Marxist-Leninist terrorist sympathiser and his friend - He's 68, she's 64, neither are getting any younger and their dreams will remain unfulfilled

Over now to our special councillor

You are Jim Wormold of Wormold's Appliances , Havana - and ICMTP.

LINKY for the under 12s

Wormold does not make enough money to pay for Milly's extravagances, he accepts the offer of a side job in espionage. Because he has no information to send to London, Wormold fabricates his reports using information found in newspapers and invents a fictitious network of agents. Some of the names in his network are those of real people (most of whom he has never met), but some are made up. Wormold tells only his friend and World War I veteran, Dr. Hasselbacher, about his spy work, hiding the truth from Milly.

At one point, he decides to make his reports "exciting" by sending to London sketches of what he describes as a secret military installation in the mountains, actually vacuum cleaner parts scaled to a large size. In London, nobody except Hawthorne, the only one to know that Wormold sells vacuum cleaners, doubts this report. However, Hawthorne keeps quiet for fear of losing his job. In the light of the new developments, London sends Wormold a secretary, Beatrice Severn, and a radio assistant codenamed "C" with much spy paraphernalia.

I think it was more likely a false, false, false flag Op. and it’s was Th’atcher did it.
I was once having dinner with a group of friends, friends of friends and former colleagues. We were talking about a TV series called The Cambridge Spies about the infamous spy ring. Laughter all round about Guy Burgess, who was a homosexual. "I'm going to the toilet." said Guy. "Which one?" asked Philby. "Hyde Park I think" came the response. Sure enough, Guy was arrested for cottaging, yet still managed to get security clearance.

One of the diners was not laughing. She had worked in MI6 during the sixties and she had known Kim Philby personally. She also knew personally some of the people who had died due to Philby's treachery and many of them had not died easy deaths. As is often the case, those of us who did not have first hand experience of high level treachery viewed it as something of a joke. It was no joke for those who had to live with the consequences, especially those for whom consequences meant a one way trip to the KGB headquarters at the Lubyanka prison.

Guido tells us that Jeremy Corbyn is refusing to sign a waiver allowing his Stasi records to be released by the German government. Nothing to hide, nothing to fear? Perhaps, but the real question is surely wtf was a bloke who was a very junior MP at the time doing that caused him to have contact with the Stasi? Jez has just issued a video featuring your name is on the list type threats that the press will face after the socialist revolution. He is not doing himself any favours.

At the time Jez was allegedly learning about dead drops, civil servants like Clive Ponting, David Shayler and Sarah Tisdall were being prosecuted, and jailed, for breaches of the Official Secrets Act. The fact that Jeremy wont allow his Stasi files to be published should be ringing alarm bells and he should be properly investigated and prosecuted if there is evidence of a breach of the OSA. He's not above the law and he doesn't have the right to cause harm to our country because he's a left wing MP.

That's nice. It didn't happen, no matter how much you want it to be true.

Incidentally, the pigeon tunnel is a very good book.
