Strother Martin as Captain:" What we got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week. Which is the way he wants it. Well he gets it. And I don't like it any more than you men."

"You run one time, you got yourself a set of chains. You run twice, you got yourself two sets. You ain't goin' to need no third set, because you're goin' to get your mind right. And I mean RIGHT."

"That ditch is Boss Kean's ditch. What's your dirt doin' in his ditch?"

"I don't know, Boss."

"You better get in there and get it out, boy."

"Luke, what you think you're doin?"

"Just gettin' my dirt out of Boss Kean's ditch, Boss."

"Well, damned if you're gonna put your dirt in my yard. You hear me?"

"Yes, Boss."

"Well, let's get it outta there!"

"I told you to get your dirt out of Boss Kean's ditch, didn't I?"

"Yeah, Boss."

"Then how come it ain't out?"

"I don't know, Boss."

"What's all this dirt doin' in here?"

"I don't know."

"Don't, Boss."

"Get to work."

"Don't, Boss. Don't hit me any more. For God's sake, don't hit me any more."

"What was that you said? What was that name you used, Luke?"

"Oh God. Oh God. God! I pray to God you don't hit me any more!"

"I'll do anything you say! But I can't take any more!"

"You got your mind right, Luke?"

"Yeah. I got it right. Oh, I got it right, Boss."

"Suppose you was to backslide on us?"

"Oh no, no I won't, Boss!"

"Suppose you was to back sass?"

"No I won't. I got my mind right!"

"Try to run again and we'll kill ya."

"No I won't, I won't, Boss!'

Is it beer o'clock in the US?
It's always beer o'clock at my place. Sorry for the long post. I was watching the movie at the time, and sort of lost control of myself. I'm watching a Chris Rock DVD right now, and I PROMISE not to quote it.

It was an antagonistic and stereotypical film. How's the corn? Not even planted yet, you putz. Wrestling? And you're making comments about stereotyping? I swear, my friggin' cat has more gray matter. Christ.
