Congratulations to all. Commiserations to those who believed they were bring presented to the board only to find out they didn't, due to the residual service cut off date. Would be nice if they were informed that they would not be presented to the board. Everyone needs to be singing off the same song sheet with regards to information being passed down from MCM Division. Would be especially nice to have the correct information passed down through the Chain of Command.

My congratulations to all on the list - what happens to those who were not presented due to mis-information? Will MCMDIV have the spine to call a second board, extend the engagements for those affected?

Funny that.

A good mate of mine got told he got accepted for V-Eng and extended in his current post.

However, at CR time he gets the bad news that the CoC haven't pushed it up through, despite the RMCO telling him he had it :?

They are all on the same camp :roll:

Makes you confident in them, doesn't it?

The worst thing about this is it demonstrates that MCM Div don't have a professional coherent grasp on man and career management which is directly impacting those people who have an enormous influence on many individuals from Signaller upwards.

What message does this send to them about the glorious Royal Signals and the Army?

My mate actually had an email from the desk clerk stating that he need not be concerned as he would definitely be presented to the board, and if he was successful, they would then apply to MS branch for the extra days required to make his residual service complete. His third reporting officer also spoke to the desk officer who also confirmed that he would be presented to the board. If you are made aware that you are not on the board, then perhaps you can apply to MS branch in advance, but if you are not made aware, there is nothing you can do. Yea, thanks for the last 21 years, seeya.

I know we knock them and wouldn't do their job for love nor money!

However, can you imagine sitting up there dealing with every man and his dog wanting the 'gucci' postings, promotions and people getting in and out.

I know its' their chosen profession but would you fcuk as like get me doing that job for 12K a year.

Doesn't excuse the fact that they are fcuking a family about for the sake of a year.

It seems to me like the slow down of promotions as promised with the implementation of VENG has already began. Only 7 YofS off the board - if I recall last year it was about 15 ?
