The real "working" class, who more often or not are voting conservative now, not the "benefit dependent" class (of all ethnicities) which is their main support group!
Thought they had started that with Colonel "Mrs Bookay" Thornberrydissintvthe white van man with England flags displayed at his house

Expelled Labour Members Considering Forming New Party

It's like getting expelled on your last day at school.
It could have gone very wrong for her, and not sure she really thought it through. The Dep Speaker had the power to suspend her until the next sitting of Parliament, in October, which would have meant her forfeiting her MP’s salary until then.

As it was Madam Deputy only suspended her for that day so no salary lost.

I think they'll have to take a leader other than Corbyn, he'll never voluntarily leave the Labour Party, nothing short of expulsion will see him go. He's a political animal (even if it's student politics writ large) and he'd rather be a previously big fish in the Labour pond than a big fish in a small puddle, same for all the Labour MP's.
Principles take second place to prestige and profile.

He's not in the Labour Pond though, is he? He's been kicked out.

Still a Labour member (following restoration a while back), just not allowed the Parliamentary Whip is my understanding. Could be wrong, feel free to correct me, the status of that particular political lump in the toilet bowl that is Westminster isn't exactly something I monitor closely :D.

Well that's a particularly shite halfway house. 'I've not got enough spine to tell you to **** off, but I'll allow you to pretend you're still with us, just as long as you also pretend you're on the naughty step.'

I think Starmer did have the spine to boot him out as in suspended pending expulsion, but the suspension from the Labour party was reversed.

I'm sure some poor bastard knows the intimate details of what went on, I can't be fussed to Google it.

Rats abandoning a sinking ship...

...for one that has already sunk :)

How completely deluded and up your own ar*e do you have to be to believe rubbish like this:

A new socialist party “is coming into creation, that will have the energy and the vitality that the Corbyn party was beginning to show that it had”.

I like some of the comments though...

They should call the new party: Trotskyite Workers and Allied Trades. Seems that would make the perfect acronym.

Some of these so called political types (some might say deadbeats) work harder trying to scam a living than they would if they actually had a proper job...

I love the idea of a new party forming.

It could not only remove some of the mentalists……..A good thing for SKS, but would also remove even more MPs from the Labour party………..Making Labour pretty much defunct.

We would also get to see which flavour of ‘gravy train’ the likes of Lammy and Rayner prefer :)

My bet would be that Thornberry would stay with SKS, Burgon might elope with the rebels………and Rayner and Lammy would have LOTS and LOTS of weasel words as to why they would be turning their back on Corbyn and gang.

Diane Abbott would say: Elenty twelve, Thursday, do you like my new hair cut.

Edit:
What would be even better could be if Piers rather than Jeremy Corbyn was the leader. :)

Abbott will stay with the main party. Bread buttered, and all that.

I cannot express the level of disdain I have for someone who stated that no matter what the party line, she would follow it.

Abbot would just phone in sick when it came to decision time.
