Comrade Corbyn to the fore - whither (or wither) the Labour Party?

As soon as I read that it confirmed my first impression, load of mens spheroids. A poison piece to place the blame on the regions (as they won't play the metropolitan game), instead of Corbyns Politburo.
But we came incredibly close to changing this country’s politics for good. In other words a one party state.

I'd like to have heard more about how they intended changing politics for good. Worrying too that McDonut had championed throwing the Tories in jail, and that Magic Grandpa had told the media that things would change for them when he won.

They never learn, people rarely respond well to threats, not that they had much chance of being able to carry them out though!

This is DM and from 2019 but it gives a feel for the way they the hard left twist and rewrite history to stir resentment and gain support for their wickedness.

We have been warned! John McDonnell is the Marxist who plotted and purged his way to power, the denigrator of a great British hero, and even MORE dangerous than Corbyn, writes ANDREW ROBERTS

John McDonnell even MORE dangerous than Corbyn, writes ANDREW ROBERTS
I think what they’re saying is that McDonnell isn’t a useful idiot.

Little is said of Seamus Milne in the shitfest that is known as Corbyn.
I notice he has slipped back into the shadows, despite being a multi millionaire and son and heir of Daddies fortunes, earned as the BBC Director General.
This guy is a major communist puppet master.

Feel free to scroll through this lot. Amongst Guido's archive: Seumas Milne Archives - Guido Fawkes

The Evening Standard seemed smitten with the "Lenninist" in 2015. It's all very matter of fact and reads like Hello magazine or some such, with not a hint of the actual implications of his anti-Western beliefs.
Seumas Milne: political firebrand and Corbyn's guardian angel

More recently, in April this year, John Rentoul wrote of the significance of Milne's departure in signifying a de-Corbynisation of Labour - Hmm, I think they have a long way to go yet. (paywall)
Opinion: Goodbye Seumas Milne, another press officer who became the story

Mark Humphrys political blog has a page on Milne:
Seumas Milne
Of the many West-haters, Britain-haters and tyranny-worshippers at The Guardian, Seumas Milne has long stood out as one of the worst.
In Oct 2015, the new Labour leader, the radical left Jeremy Corbyn, appointed Seumas Milne as Director of Strategy and Communications. No decent person could vote for Labour now. Any party that would give Milne a job is a sick party that no decent Brit could ever vote for.

He also references this Seumas Milne, antisemitism and “the usual internet suspects”.

Sabotage! Sabotage, I say!
“It’s not impossible that Jeremy Corbyn might now be in his third year as a Labour prime minister were it not for the unauthorised, unilateral action taken by a handful of senior party officials.”

Excellent, excellent.

Excellent, excellent.
If it wasn’t for Corbyn and his cronies we might now be in a 3rd year of a Labour Government with Andy Burnham or Mrs Balls as Leader and PM.

Jo Ryle's opinion article, on the Open Democracy site, claims Team Corbyn were subject to internal sabotage by Labour staffers. I wonder if there will be story: "How we saved Britain from Corbyn and McDonnell". That really would be country before party.

I saw from the inside how Labour staff worked to prevent a Labour government The work of senior Labour staffers to stop Labour winning is only just starting to come out.

Joe Ryle 7 August 2020

"I don't remember anyone ever getting to the bottom of where the computers had disappeared to. But the responsibility for ensuring the offices were set up was Labour HQ’s and this was to be a first warning sign."

"The most shocking sabotage I personally witnessed was an encounter with the notoriously difficult regional offices who were often the most ideologically opposed to the Corbyn regime. At my request, attempts were made to organise a rally for John McDonnell via one of the regional offices. Given that John was one of the most senior members of the shadow cabinet, I expected my request to be met with enthusiasm."

"We were a young and diverse team, mostly new to electoral politics and passionate about our jobs. Of course we made mistakes. But we came incredibly close to changing this country’s politics for good. Without the actions of this small group of highly experienced saboteurs, I genuinely believe we would now be three years into a Labour government investing in our NHS and public services – an outcome which surely would have better prepared the country for the Coronavirus pandemic."

Ryles prior involvement with the Green Party and John McDonnell's shadow group may have some bearing on the matter, given that non-radical Labour staffers suspected the shadow group was seeking to undermine them.

Labour health advisers angered by John McDonnell's parallel group
Two of shadow chancellor’s new advisers are or have recently been members of other political parties
"The documents make clear that Joe Ryle, an aide to McDonnell who until at least autumn 2014 was a press spokesman for the Green MEP Keith Taylor, helped put together the group."

The bitterest tears taste the sweetest.

Oi, Charles was funny at least

Charles lived in Deal.

Before Roy Jenkins changed the law in the late 1960s to allow folk like him to emerge – legally – from their closets, apparently the Kent coastal town was a ‘safe space‘ (a blind eye was applied to enforcement of the old law) for people like Charles.

Now, remind me, which branch of the military had long-standing roots there…

I like this bit: The narrative is vehemently opposed by the officials concerned, one of whom called it “a mythical ‘stab in the back’ conspiracy theory to absolve themselves”, adding that all spending was legitimate, declared and accounted for.
This is the second article I've read about a claimed conspiracy within Labour to thwart the peoples revolutionary party faction and it's quest to try and win the election with East Germany as a template for their radical changes.

His vision? Has no one told him that he is not actually in Government?
They won it in their own minds. Meanwhile, the world keeps turning. As they stand at the moment, Labour are an irrelevance with nothing to offer. Down here in Welsh Wales, a significant proportion of their traditional voter base will never vote for them again.

It would be great, just once, to see an article from the other side.

Corbyn/McDonnell/Milne made Labour unelectable.

There was no great sabotage. The language itself is redolent of totalitarianism.

That the regional offices weren’t loyal to the troika does not necessarily make them disloyal to the party. They were trying to work around the extreme views and incompetence of an extreme faction.

Imagine sitting out in the shires and watching those at the centre alienate the electorate more and more, only to be told that all was well and it was the electorate’s ignorance that was the problem, not the policies and pronouncements.

Which is their massive blind spot. They just don't understand that what's left of the working classes are completely uninterested in everything that gets them so excited. Wibbling on about white privilege means nothing to some poor git trying to bring up a family in an overcrowded house on a low wage.
