Comrade Corbyn to the fore - whither (or wither) the Labour Party?

Equally, you've got pieces of shít in the GOP who refused to give sign-off on aid money because some of it might go to same-sex couples.

Don't ask me to understand US politics. The country pretends to be modern but too much of what goes on panders to attitudes from the first half of the last century. I'm not saying that the Democrats - by any means - get it all right but some of what the Republicans lean towards is risible.
They just can't help themselves the ******* twats..."the end justifies the means" etc etc yada yada. The idiot known as Lavery has even managed to out-idiot the idiot known as Pelosi without provoking any meaningful media debate...WTF is going on?

as a slight thread drift.

ive just been listening to whispering Barry Gardiner blaming he corona virus problems on years of tory cuts, but when he was asked asked about an twitter spat’ involving Owen Jones yesterday Gardiner knew nothing about it...........obviously suffering from Labours well known selective ability to see social media that adversely affects labour.

Do any of you have any details of the argument/spat Jones was involved in?

Seriously! what a twat.

Please have a look at this:

In summary, Dear Leader was paid a (mild) tribute for his public service by the Prime Minister. In response, Dear Leader raised high the banner of standing in solidarity with any twat that identifies as Socialist from now until the end of days.

Am I the only one who heard the unstated final sentence, ' . . . and you will still be given a good, stiff ignoring . . .'?

I commend the link to the slavering masses.

Corbyn’s plea to halt any evictions really came from the heart, he’s a real man of the people.

I was just a tad miffed that he didn’t mention just how many MONTHS in arrears the renters he mentioned were in, in the DAYS those renters have been self isolating. :)

Or why he didn't pay his Council tax.

Does that mean no more faked letters from Doris being read out at PMQ's at last

The man has nothing. He will be a stain on the page of history. Couldn't even go gracefully.

After Boris paid tribute to the 'Honourable Member' at PMQ's today, Corbyn confirmed he will be sticking around for some time yet to hold the Government to account from the back benches. He was an irritating presence as a back bencher and no doubt he will revert to form, but just like Dennis Skinner, he will be treated with mild amusement by the Tories, who will treat him as an irrelevance. What is absolutely certain is Corbyn will be re-selected at future General Elections by his blinkered constituents, until such time as senility (or death) catches up with him.

Has the Man of the People dug deep into his £millions to pay any rents for the poor and needy of his Borough?

No?

Thought not

On holiday in Cuba a number of years ago the commonest questions I was asked by the ordinary people-in-the-street were:
1. Are you from the USA?
2. Have you ever been to the USA?
3. What's life like in the USA?

They seem to have a bit of a fixation with the USA
I went on holiday to Cuba some 30+ years ago. The locals assumed that because I spoke English I was Canadian. Presumably a lot of Canucks went there at the time.
