Comrade Corbyn to the fore - whither (or wither) the Labour Party?

I do so enjoy agreeing that the Tories are sexist pigs because they dont insist 50% of the Front bench are female and chose on merit, then asking how many more Labour Leaders ( PM or Leader of opposition) have been female.

Harriet Harmen doesn't count - she ended up with the job by default and only short term when Brown resigned.

Apparently im not a good well adjusted person ( Spelt Fxxxxxx Cxxx)
Ohhh you've get the woke PC police after you for not calling her Harriet Harperson

To be fair as previously pointed out by another Arrser (Possibly @Cold_Collation )

The report concluded that Labour had no problem with anti semitism

I think we can all agree events have demonstrated that to be exactly the case
Wrong Baroness, you muppet!

"Sayeeda Hussain Warsi, Baroness Warsi PC FRTPI (born 28 March 1971) is a British lawyer, politician and member of the House of Lords. From 2010 to 2012, she was co-Chair of the Conservative Party."

I think you mean:

"Sharmishta Chakrabarti, Baroness Chakrabarti, CBE, PC (born 16 June 1969), commonly known as Shami Chakrabarti, is a British Labour Party politician and member of the House of Lords."

Still: I suppose they all look the same to you.

Ah, now I see why you gave me a Dumb! I think you misread my post, the Baroness Warsi regularly berates her own party, PM as well, over racism, particularly against Muslims, which is the point I was making, NOT anti-semitism as in Labour and Chucklebutty.

I gave you a Like for that but can't for the life of me see why or how Brexit will affect NATO, all the same players will be in it whether or not we Leave the EU.
Yes, all the same players will still be in NATO, but Brexit will significantly harm not only Britain's economy (and standing in the world), but also the economies of other EU members - most of which are also in NATO. Thus it will harm NATO. The beneficiaries will be China, Russia and all the tinpot dictatorships that wish us harm.

But then our views on the issue of Brexit (harmful, disruptive and weakening versus beneficial, constructive and strengthening) differ somewhat.

Apologies for drifting somewhat off topic.

Perhaps the stupid and gullible see him as a socialist messiah ready to save us from ourselves, and never underestimate the power of stupid people that's how governments get elected
......... and perchance referendum results obtained? ;-)

You are correct that I had erred and got baronesses confused - and you quite rightly berated me for that - I deserved the dumb - if only for completely misreading dun n dusteds post - hence the assumption she was the labour MP

The Dumb was not for the mockery or because you gave me one - but solely for the piece of cuntwhiffery I highlighted in red.

Gee, thanks. They’re watching, you know. That’s me off to the gulag after the election that Labour really, really wants.

A rare occurrence on ARRSE--a member accepts responsibility for being human. Well done (sincerely).

Perhaps the other NATO countries can take up the slack?

I believe its a composite of all the NATO members of that continent. I could check but really can't be arsed to discover the budgeted amounts for each member state, total them up and then find out the total GDP of those states. Far too much like hard work on what is supposed to be a relaxing long weekend.

I see little Luxembourg contributes only 0.55% of GDP instead of 2% ... presumably quite happy to live on the backs of such others that their PM openly and publicly attempts to embarrass.

I doubt until his little press conference stunt 99% of the EU had heard of him, however he will now be destined for high things. Luxembourg as a country has supplied the most EU commissioners, quite something.
