Comrade Corbyn to the fore - whither (or wither) the Labour Party?

If I could get enough va-va-voom to climb the mountain of bureaucracy, I could apply for French nationality. My five years in the FFL in 1981-86 still count and I am fluent in the language. I'm also entitled to Polish nationality through parentage, but the current xenophobic, nationalist government really put me off that option. That added to other facts put us off buying a holiday home in Poland. But I seriously believe that once the shambles that is Brexit occurs, Scotland will vote for independence and I will end up a dual national by default.

A possibility, but a great deal of Scots do not agree with nippy sweetie.

You need to take a close look at how many voted to stay in the EU up in Scotland. Contrary to what the SNP would have you believe the majority of Scots did not vote to stay in the EU.

Independent Scotland will never be allowed to join the EU. Will never adopt the Euro and will never meet financial criteria.

In fact the 'once in a lifetime' referendum gave a majority to keep the Union.

on the other hand my sister in law is a boxhead who is very happy living in NI and would be dragged kicking a scream back to box head land. She even refused to teach her kid German, which I find very short sighted, but she is a boxhead.
But does she teach the kid to hate all catholics/proddies (delete as necessary).

But nippy sweetie took it to mean “once in a fruit flies lifetime”.
She talks like she has Tourette's.
Looking at the breakfast menu "Emm. Ahh. I think I'll have... INDEPENDENCE!"
In the shoe shop "These look nice. I'll, emm, take... INDEPENDENCE!"

I thought 5 years in the FFL gave you automatic citizenship?

Also, the SNP have the huge problem that 80% of Leave voters in Scotland were also Yes voters.

With a good conduct certificate you get the right to live and work in France and entitlement to apply for nationality.

Sorry, while I loved Heinlein's book; I walked out of the film adaptation by Verhoeven as it was a pile of shite.

As regards the Legion, if you have a good conduct certificate after five years service, your application for French nationality will usually be accepted. On leaving the FFL in 1986, I decided that I would not apply for French nationality as being a dual national would restrict my career choices in the British Armed Forces, where I was headed next and that as both countries were part of the (then so called) European Community, I would not gain any advantage that I did not already possess.

I wonder if Jez could be reached for any comment on his unqualified love-in for Palestine.

Palestinian security forces routinely torture critics, rights group says

Mind you if “security forces routinely taunt, threaten, beat, and force detainees into painful stress positions for hours at a time” I'd wave the flag too.

Oh, we weren't talking about Momentum?

Fixed that for you.
Its the only way marxist groups can survive is total lock down of any criticism or decent, they talk a Utopia but the reality is very different. There is no freedom, no way to express yourself in anyway.
Remember old Russia (USSR) and even in modern times. Try expressing something that goes against the state politics, be it a article in a paper/magazine. A work of art or a song.
You're shut down, sometimes permanently, which is why I find it funny that those arty types that support the marxist types are in for a nasty shock if they ever got in.
Socialism that Corbyn and co promote is based on no freedom, something very similar to a dictatorship or somewhere with an absolute monarchy.
Both of which they claim to despise and yet want to act in the same manner just using different ideology.

So rolling a turd in different coloured glitter then?
