Comrade Corbyn to the fore - whither (or wither) the Labour Party?

I live in hope that they'll abandon the dear leader because of his unaffordable and unfulfillable financial bribes, his hatred of the UK and its institutions, his treasonous views, his support for terrorists, his blatant anti-Semitism, his incompetence, his outdated Marxist-Leninist views, his choice of friends and lovers (the Abbott monster!) and the fact he is essentially Momentums (communists) sock puppet!

Sadly, the fact that the thicko student, shouty types haven't already noticed the blatantly obvious doesn't really give me much hope they'll notice his Brexit 'betrayal'!!
So everyone's not noticed all that apart from you, eh? The original font of omniscience. Right-wing much? In a race, you'd easily overtake Trump the Chump on the inside lane.

Jeremy Corbyn is popular because he realises that the vast majority of the population are being deliberately short-changed by the Tories (who "rule" purely for the benefit of their wealthy chums) and he wants to do something constructive about it. He's not what you could call "charismatic", so it must have been his realistic policies that convinced not only the "thicko" students, but millions of others.

And what did Treesa Maybe and her corrupt cronies "promise" at election time? "We've got something for everybody, but we'll tell you all about it after you've voted us back in". How clever was that, eh?

So the public school educated millionaire Marxist who claimed to offer students free tuition fees as a bribe then claimed it was merely an aspiration after the election, has offered what apart from proposing a final solution to the Jews ?

Bless, thank you for trying. Now about your erratic timescale of when you were in the GDR, any clarification yet?

Jeremy Corbyn is popular
Have you informed Welsh Labour of that fact as they want him, Abbott and McDonald as far away from Wales as possible.
The ex leader of Merthyr Council blamed him for Labour losing the council and his seat(plus they did a rubbish job) when traditional Labour voters are saying stuff this.

Let me repeat for you via Jeremy Corybyn and Carwyn Jones the vote is dropping. Labour need Wales to vote for them and are constantly kicking them in the teeth.

Try all the anti capitalised arguments you want but the white Welsh Working class who started the labour movement are walking away.

It would seem that you didn't see my post below. If young JC was popular with the majority of the country he would be living at a new address now.

Oh and by the way did you correct the lies you wrote in the ebola thread yet.

Bugger, it was looking so good for JC.

Wages rose at an annual rate of 2.9% in the three months to March, faster than inflation for the first time in more than a year, official figures show.
Senior ONS statistician Matt Hughes said: "With employment up again in the three months to March, the rate has hit a new record, with unemployment remaining at its lowest rate since 1975.
How is he going to spin this. What do we think.

Best effort gets half my Keith Vaz winnings.

Bugsy mate, Jezza thinks the Morning Star is the only voice the left have in the daily media, even he thinks the Socialist Worker is a load of shite.

From today's Politico London Playbook Newsletter (POLITICO London Playbook, presented by Dalradian Gold: Kim vs. Trump — Labour’s humbling experience — Carillion in the dock)

Left split in Lewisham: Momentum last night confirmed it is backing activist Sakina Sheikh to be Labour’s candidate in Lewisham East. With Unite (and so probably Jeremy Corbyn’s office) lined up behind NEC member Claudia Webbe, the big new dividing line among pro-Corbyn supporters will again be exposed at this weekend’s selection meeting. Who knows, the split may even allow one of the local party’s two candidates — local Councillor Brenda Dacre or Deputy Mayor Janet Daby — to come through the middle and win the day. The Guardian’s Jessica Elgot has a good summary.

Which socialist is the real socialist?
Splitter!
The problem is that both frontrunners are Marxist Moonhowlers and the locally preferred candidates unlikely to get a look in.

Also seen in the same place:
JezFest: Playbook hears the upcoming pro-Corbyn musical festival has now been nicknamed “Labour Dive” by cynical staffers, due to the paucity of decent bands and low ticket sales. As Stephen Bush reports, the problem is basically that the party is trying to put on a big music event on without spending the sort of money you need for well-known headline acts.
Bits of Cornwall, much of it to be honest, are lovely. Outside of tourist season. But quite a lot of urban Cornwall, especially to the north, is pretty crap.

Will there be a spike in knife fights in Lewisham over the next few days?

JezFest will be Bragg, Bragg and more Bragg. More knife victims also?

Perhaps of more concern is the fact that electoral law allows a unique bar code to be printed on the back of each ballot paper. What's that for? Ballots are counted by hand. They are generally not scanned into a computer.
Postal vote ballot papers are barcoded, which I understood to be purely so that a voter could check that their vote had been received and counted, and that when counted the barcode was removed from the ballot paper.

Never mind all this postal ballots and voter ID, when are they going to roll out the GE voting app. Available on the iStore and Google Play. Just what the masses are waiting for

Well when I was doing telling on election day in my ward, the Labour activist was adamant that Corbyn's brexit position was costing them votes.

Well, you know and I know that JC and his Labour lot will never form a government.
However, we are, especially on Arrse, rather biased towards the right wing a bit. Trying to find a Labour supporter on Arrse is like trying to find a virgin in Manchester. Very rare but there are a few about.

But never underestimate the stupidity of the great British public. When Blue Planet came out they voted for Big Brother as the best factual programme. They then voted for Brexit and almost, but not quite voted for JC in the General Election but fortunately came to their senses just in time even though the Tories now have to rely on a minority NI party to prop them up. That was the election this Labour lot were going to be wiped off the face of the political scene.

They stopped giving the public the vote on TV programmes but those who know chose some programme hardly watched over the Blue Planet 2 in the latest load of luvvy duvvy.

So don't be surprised if JC does do a bit better and is able to form a coalition of sorts or a minority government at the next election which could come pretty soon. If the millenials and snowflakes manage to get out of bed this time it could all go tits up.
That'll be the day to lower the drawbridge and eff off out of it but make sure you send your pounds abroad before they become worthless under him and his lot.

If the election dates remain the same as set out the Welsh Assembly election will be the big indicator. However even Plaid Cymru have gone a bit turbo left, yet they have split from Labour. Labour is held in place by the one Lib-Dem AM. With various shenanigans I can see the WA vote coming forward.
I think that will prove the blow JC can not sustain but the Torys can walk away from. I speak to a lot of youth via my job and other left leaning types including those in Welsh Labour hierarchy, my comments come from seeing both sides in Wales. The feeling that National Labour have left Wales to the side as easy votes is starting to bite.

The ball has been dropped when all eyes are on "English" problems and they need to balance the overwhelming problem Wales voted highly for Brexit.
Again I repeat Wales will cut Labour down, a self induced problem.

Well we’ll see.

It won’t be a disaster.

As with Tory government .... the Civil Service moderates the loons.

Let’s hope the CS can spare someone from Brexit if JC gets in.

The Welsh Assembly is entirely irrelevant.

Seriously.

Nobody outside Llanwrwst or Bedwellty or Pwf Cocswkr cares.

I agree that the current system is shit.

I needed a proxy vote a couple of elections ago. The Council seemed confused by the process. I ended up with my own polling card, a polling card for a proxy in my name (that was correct) AND a further polling card for a proxy with the name given as (I’m not making this up) “Mr. A. Proxy”.

Anyway, while we’re reminiscing about electoral scandals in time past.....

While leader of Westminster City Council she oversaw the "Building Stable Communities" policy, later described as the "homes for votes" scandal and was consequently accused of gerrymandering.[nb 1] The policy was judged illegal by the district auditor, and a surcharge of £27m levied on her in 1996.[4] This was later raised to £42 million with interest and costs. She eventually settled in 2004, paying a "full and final settlement" of £12.3 million.[5]

That’s from this link: Shirley Porter - Wikipedia

All the stories (and I strongly suspect this shit goes on a lot really) seem to be about paperwork fudges, double counting, corralled voting by Labour and “higher level” distortions by the Tories.

My link is the classic example. The current versions, or some of them, of voter ID fall in to the latter category.

I really like the simple old fashioned voting system here. There’s no way to fool the count. It’s just not a realistic possibility.

There’s a lot of opportunity to manipulate the actual voting though.

Ill-informed tribal yelping, like what we see on this thread, is no help. Neither is malign twisting of the system for Party gain.
A good point.

Dame Shirley was most certainly corrupt and protected by friends in high places.
