Comrade Corbyn to the fore - whither (or wither) the Labour Party?

If you read it again yourself you may note there’s quite a clear implication there that socialists -of which group Mr. Corbyn is sort of a member - are cool with mass murder.

Whilst this is a foolish and hysterical bit of tribalist claptrap in itself, even if ‘twere so, you’d really struggle to attach Mr. C to it.
No, it's the absolute truth.

Again: Where did i suggest Corbyn might be involved?
Do please try a little harder not to make stuff up.

The problem or perceived hypocrisy of this is Jeremy is an outspoken opponent of any forms of violence, and therefore always has that as a stance to fall back on. However looking at those "friends" he keeps and extols have a bit of a nasty habit of getting all shooty-shooty with anyone getting in their way. It's like saying "I'm great friends with Harold Shipman and his contribution to easing the national care bill, although I don't support his methods"... He either sits on a self projected moral high ground that means he is right in his beliefs and therefore right or is irretrievably stupid... the two positions are not mutually exclusive.

I couldn’t agree more.

Although I’m at least as lefty as Jezza, he drives me mad with his naïve crap about ‘befriending’ all these killers.

Absolutely he’s right to highlight the foolish and dead-end partisanship on the Right - the sort of people who approve of Latin American dictatorships if they’re not Commies- by exploring the complex reasons for armed insurrection.

Absolutely.

But if I’d had ten minutes one on one with McGuinness the bastard would’ve been in reconstructive surgery and the Proletarian Brotherhood be damned.

JCs main problem, as so many have said, is it’s easy to be all romantic about these things when you’re Rik from The Young Ones but less so if as Alan B’Stard you become a member of the Government.

Ah the quality of Labour parliamentary candidates follows a clear trend: displace competence with...

Oh Mandy: 7 Looniest Conspiracy Theories of Corbynista Candidate - Guido Fawkes

It takes a certain type of special to have 14 vexatious litigant restraining orders against you.

There may be a reason for her selection.
I don't think she is local and Worcester has a 1.06% black population. Not a great fit into the local area.
So who selected her and what was the winning strategy she has over others? A look on her website claims
As a teacher, journalist, youth justice caseworker and Labour & union activist
, I’m keenly aware of how current Government policy is impacting locally on jobs, community policing, local business, transport costs, housing, education and health care. In particular, the threatened cuts to NHS services have promoted a collective anxiety that has to be further addressed along with the raft of Tory cuts hitting working families and the most vulnerable hardest.
Ticking all the left boxes but I wonder if she is a player of a certain card?

when she gets her ass handed to her on polling day, with a reduced labour vote, she'll be rushing to the courts, no doubt... and accusing the Worcester populace of wacism

The sauce of her treating the Worcester population like that, would she dare ?

According to Radio 4 this morning, a certain "Diane Abbott" was present at one of "Loony Mandy's" court appearances.
Already covered on ARRSE, possibly in this thread :)
Abbott was a witness and rubbished the claims made by the loon. Abbott said the claims could not be true.............no ambiguity or doubt.

"Here is Jeremy Corbyn with ‘MI5 target’ Mandy Richards at an event in the Leader’s Office last year organised by Dawn Butler, who Richards says she used to work for. One is an eccentric leftie who subscribes to outlandish conspiracy theories and spent years campaigning against the British state and security services, the other is Mandy Richards…"

Sorry about that. I should have read all 1392 pages.

Was this alluded to?

BBC News Website said:
It is understood that Labour, which no longer vets its candidate nationally, believes it was Ms Richards' responsibility to declare relevant information during the candidate selection process.
So senior members of the Labour Cabinet are aware of her flakery!

I suppose you could have read all the pages, but it was mentioned on Sunday afternoon so no need to go back too far to see what's been said when 48 hours is a fair way to see what's been said recently ;)

"Meet Labour’s newly selected parliamentary candidate in Welwyn Hatfield, Tara Lyons, who has told the world through social media that she’d like to “beat up” Prince William. She’s also fond of the word “b*tch” and threatens to “swing a f*cking punch”. Not one to get on the wrong side of…"

Has she blamed any of the septic spy agencies or Mossad? She's missing a trick there!
What a fruitloop.

Your comment on understanding productivity may be valid, but not just because some people will get extra days off.
A huge percentage of workers have to work bank holidays if they are on shift so won't get any extra days off. Many of these workers work in the care or retail sector and many get no extra pay for working bank holidays.
Four extra bank holidays could easily mean four extra days a care worker has to fund child care as their child/childrens school may be closed due to bank holiday.

For employers who have a fixed income like the: police, fire, ambulance, NHS, armed forces etc this will just add an extra burden to their finances and man power.

There will of course be extra hassle for those needing to get to work while the bus companies have an extra four days of 'bank holiday' services.

This would be yet another set of days off that mostly benefitted shiny arses or lackies like politicians.

Edit. For those who seem to think most Labour voters are on benefit this will of course mean an exta four days that the DWP are closed so unable to offer advice or take claims.
Bank holidays attract 2.5 times the going rate for me. I will gladly accept these extra days off then work them as overtime since they will need people in.

Could make parliament a bit more interesting and finally drive home how dangerous these lot are to people.

Does the phrase 'Bread and Circuses' mean anything?

Jeremy Corbyn says workers deserve more time off after years of ‘damaging Tory austerity’

Under Labour’s proposals, UK-wide public holidays would be held on St David’s Day (1 March), St Patrick’s Day (17 March), St George’s Day (23 April) and St Andrew’s Day (30 November).

Now, the earliest possible date for Easter is March 22 and the latest possible is April 25.
So, in a two month period, you'll have FIVE days off.
Comrade Corbyn obviously doesn't understand productivity, does he?
He's adopting the French model, the one Macron's axeing
