Complaint and non existent CSM, what to do?

#1
Hi there,

Background:
I applied to be a reserve officer in July, it is now the end of November and an assessment weekend date at Pirbright let alone anything else is nowhere near in sight.

I couldn't get a hold of my CSM until almost October whilst in the meantime, I had gotten in contact with the field hospital unit I wanted to join had all my meetings with them and established a relationship. I have also gotten in contact with my YODA and had all the interviews with them.

The online portal system just does not work for me ive spoke to IT several times but it doesn't and I now (again) haven't heard from my CSM in almost a month I have an E-mail trail and call log trail where I have rang and they can never seem to be able to get through to her.

My YODA and the reserve unit im joining have basically said that ive been super unlucky, but im afraid that its going to take another six months just to get anything remotely done and i keep being sent blank chaser messages.

My Questions:
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Can I change my CSM
Is there any way I can complain

Should I just withdraw the whole thing and start again

Is this Capita at work (or rather not?). Years ago a letter from your MP used to make the recruiting team move mountains!

I’m having to wait for capita to chase the medical team at litchfield but when I chase them and ask them to chase to doctors but seem reluctant to do that. I would ring them and demand a new CSM or speak to someone higher, don’t start again

Write a polite letter to your local MP explaining what has or hasn't happened to date and how you are finding it frustrating. A PQ to the Armed Forces Minister may move things along.

Sound advice, especially with recruiting issues being high on the news agenda.
