Complaint about Citation thread stuff

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. What about the BFG in the 80's porn medal.

awarded to the spotty, pale faced gimp who actually only ever left the camp to visit the local porn emporium to snap up all the latest porn vids, to add to his already locker busting volumes of porn.
Clasp was awarded upon dishing out said porn for opos private viewing at no cost of course.

A second clasp was awarded if the said gimp actually managed to get the lorry load ofporn past customs upon posting back to UK.

We've had a complaint about this thread and opsec related to NI. The guy who complained is so concerned about this that he has informed something called CPNI, although has somewhat frustratingly omitted to tell me where the problem is.

If you think anyone may have crossed the opsec line and published something that is classified please send me an email and I'll remove the post.
  3. Well, Good CO - that is amazing !! You aren't winding us up are you ??

I have just re-read all the posts and you have me intrigued!!

No. I can't find anything either. Convoy Cock has mentioned the (I assume) long gone JCUNI but with no detail, but that seems to be about as dangerous as it gets. Who are CPNI by the way?

Seems to be an MI5 department that deals with OPSEC and PERSEC for civvies.

Of course, this could be a cover.......

Strange that it's MI5, not CI5. Perhaps Bodey and Doyle have retired?

The complainant is probably the recipient of a severe skiffing, and is now outraged to find that the owner of the poo-covered finger was subsequently decorated for his actions.
  7. This is brilliant- it actually gives credence to our citations !!!

Ahhh... well I tried. Bloody annoying though. Look at this:

"Opsec is going out the window here. sort the guys out before they compromise something (Northern Ireland) references to much detail"

    Good CO:

"I found the thread, but there's a lot to read and I'm still up to my ears in
charity auction aftermath and normal admin so don't really want to go through every post looking for problems. Could you tell me which post(s) you object to.

    Thanks for your help."

    Him (very helpfully):

"CPNI have been informed by others, sorry its out of my hands".

"It may be out of your hands, but informing someone doesn't cure a problem. If there's something there that shouldn't be then I'd be really grateful if you could tell me what and I'll get it sorted."

    No answer.

Oh the joys of site admin.

  11. MI5 walt?

Maybe he's just upset that HM's highly trained forces in NI occasionally had some spare time on their hands. Maybe there's something we don't know about Convoy's visit to Burger King.
  12. I think I may have found the "offending" post. At least, there's only one that gives a passing reference to procedures. The post indicates that the event was some time in the past and the reference relates to a practice that's been mentioned elsewhere in this site before and is, indeed, in the public domain.

Doubtless, if I've guessed correctly about the post, CPNI will respond to the complainant along the lines of "Thank you for your vigilance in this time of enhanced international terrorism." and promptly file the complaint in the Recycle Bin.

  15. It's the one where I gave away that the British army has the ability to carry large quantities of water isn't it?

    Oh the shame.

Bugger I just did it again.
