Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Drove past wellington barracks, London about an hour ago and saw a union jack draped over a coffin coming out of the guards chapel, motorcycle escort and convoy ready to go. I can only asume it was the coldstream guardsman recently killed, brought a lump to the throat, first 'live' one i've seen (excuse the term). Really brought it home though.
Rest in peace mate, at least you'll get through the London traffic quickly  :salut:
  2. I believe that today was the funeral of WO1 (RSM) Daz Chant, Grenadier Guards.
  3. apologies to all concerned for the mistake, but the same sentiments stand, sent a shiver down my spine, RIP mate.
