Col. George Styles GC - domb disposal in 1970s NI - book?

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Can anyone tell me if there was ever a book written about (or possibly by) Col. George Styles GC, the very brave ATO who dismantled two very big bombs outside Belfast's Europa Hotel during the 1970s, among other actions? Or am I imagining it?

    Any reference/leads will be appreciated.

  2. Bombs Have No Pity: My War Against Terrorism - George Styles as told to Bob Perrin. (London : Luscombe, 1975) ISBN 0-86002-133-5

Seems to get confused with Fetch Felix in some sources.

  3. Another ARRSEuccess! I got a PM within moments of posting this, to say it was by Styles (his memoirs of NI etc) and entitled Bombs Have No Pity (1975).

    Thanks, Bill!
