I hear that the latest Typhoon squadron to 'standup'
(must be an American expression) 11 Squadron did a fly past at Conningsby but for some reason went to the wrong end of the runway, cripes. Some kind of equipment failure has been blamed it is said

Fortunatly the Typhoon flight was backed up by one of the BoB Hurricanes which equiped with wet compass and map managed to find the target, (well they are all based at CBY so no real need to break out the TomTom)

Sounds like the parade was a little cocked up also (the RAF don't do drill themselves anymore, that's all PFI now done by Michael Flatley's dance troupe.)

Typhoon? Flying? Don't be daft, it was only designed in the early 1980's shouldn't be in service for at least 10 more years :p
