CLM Accreditation

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I've been comparing the CMI (Chartered Managment Institute - managers.org.uk) qualifications accredited to CLM courses for Army, Navy and RAF.

It shocks me that a Army JNCO/SNCO has a 1 week Education Course, followed by a 4 week "beasting" CLM and Field Commanders Course, and is accredited the same Management/Leadership qualification to someone in the Navy or RAF as part of their "CLM" (probably a 2 week "group discussion course").

I didn't start this thread as an intentional dig to the RAF or RN, but surely someone else agrees that Army career courses should deserve higher qualification accreditation in terms of Leadership and Management?
