There are two issues there that get conflated frequently:I try to take a step back from it this these days, it's just too time consuming.
You seem to be a good lad, well intentioned. Just keep a beady eye on what has jumped on the AGW bandwagon. John McDonnell, Corbyn? Sod that. They see it as a backdoor to dismantling capitalism, nothing more.
Firstly is AGCC, which I would argue is beyond dispute in the same way that the earth is round and vaccines are safe and work - there are plenty of flat earthers and anti-vaxxers out there who decry the science.
The second are the watermelons (green on the outside but pinks on the inside) who have hijacked environmentalism for their political beliefs. They tend to be the scaremongers and are the modern day CND lot.
That they use AGCC for their political ends using hyperbole and scaremongering does not make AGCC any less real. The impact/effect however is and will be very different from what the doomsayers predict.
