The heart of the site is the forum area, including:
A civvie friend wants to try clay shooting in Wiltshire.
Any recommendations, please?
The Royal School of Artillery, at Larkhill.
tHERE IS A MASSIVE CLAY GROUND BETWEEN tIDWORTH AND aNDOVER, CAN NOT REMEMBER THE NAME FOR THE LIFE OF ME , ON THE RIGHT AS YOU HEAD TO aNDOVER.
I'd recommend pressing the Caps Lock button
Ain't that cloud punching as opposed to clay pigeon shooting ??
They can't hit a gridref let alone a clay
I thought the idea behind the Gunners was that they removed the grid reference? Always was in my day, anyway...
Not a military friend and doesn't fancy mixing with the green...
So, thanks for both the Larkhill and Tidders suggestions.
Any civvie outfits out there?
Granted, but that depends on wether they hit the right grid reference
You have a point, dear boy, you have a point!
Where in Wilts? There used to be one at Yatesbury just off the A4 between Calne & Marlborough (old airfield site).
PA, check this out for clay shooting :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFX4j9FRKgM
I've seen that before. It's very impressive!
Savernake forest between Burbage and Malbrough, always clay pidgeon shooting advertised off on the left hand side. Never tried it myself though......... Just drive through the forest, can't miss it.
Try www.southerncountiesleisure.com Not in Wilstshire between Yeovil and Dorchester but it is a fantastic place full of civvies who enjoy shooting. Also a go-kart track. I sometimes hold team building days there and they are really helpful and good fun.
